Frontline Command - start menu pointing to wrong drive

Hi folks

I have downloaded October's game, and the link on the start menu seems to point to drive E: (which I don't have) and not drive C: (which is where it is). The path is also wrong. Tried fixing it manually with no success. I have created a shortcut to the executable on my desktop, so I can play fine, so just notifying you in case it is a general problem you can fix.

Hi trcanberra. I realize you found a way to get it to run, but I thought I would post the procedure I used for anyone else who can not get Frontline Command to run from the start menu icon. Hopefully Brad and company will be able to correct this for later users.

There appears to have been a small error during the packaging of the software for SDC. Trcanberra is correct, the problem is simply the shortcut is pointing to the wrong location, but not just the drive, there is an extra folder in the path that does not exist. To fix the path in the start menu, navigate here:

START>All Programs>Total Gaming>WWII Frontline Command.

Then, right click on the "World War II Frontline Command" icon and select "Properties".

In the "target" text input box, cut and paste this (including the quotes): "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming.net\WW2 Frontline Command\Bin\WWII.exe"

In the "Start in" text input box, cut and paste this (including the quotes): "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming.net\WW2 Frontline Command\Bin\"

Hit "OK" in the properties window and then you shouyld be able to run the game from teh start menu. Not sure if it will run from Stardock Central after that, but it should. You can also copy that startmenu shortcut to your desktop.

Yay, thanks mswaim.

Works a treat, now I can get rid of the icon on my desktop, one little bit less clutter
