Bootskins XP...and Bithdepht-Problems!!!!

Image is 4Bit...but looks more than ugly!

Hey Friends!

Well... i`ve studied Tutorials to do a Bootskin. The first Ruler is the 4-Bit Depth of the Image.

I DID a 4-Bit Image, 640x480 Pixels...not too many Colours. It looks incredible!!!

I did a screenshot from testing the Piece in the BootskinXP-Program, so you can see that it looks fine in there.

The same time i manipulated the Image (can you do a screenshot while booting???) how it looks WHEN booting.

Now... for those who want to analyze the ORIGINAL Image i use in BootscreenXP... here`s the Link to the Image:

May be some of you are MUCH MORE experienced to give me a hint what is wrong with my Image???

PS: Oh yes... for those who recognize that Motive: Its NOT MY Creation!!!! I only use the Motive for me ONLY!!!! Sorry i forgot the Name of the original Creator! Its important for me that you KNOW that i don`t want to give the impression that ME did this nice Motive! Again... it was another Artist!

Another sorry: I don`t know how to do clickable Links for images like here the adress to my Picture. And a last sorry: My english is crab! =o(

Bootskin image looks fine...it's 4 bit [16 colour].....but the progress bar needs to be from the same palette....must only have 1 to 16 of the exact same colours as the 'background' image.
