Fannie and Freddie to issue $210M in bonuses

It has just been announced that Fannie and Freddie will be issueing $210 Mil this year in bonuses.

I am wondering if these employee will have their bonuses tax at 90% or families threatened?

Will any of those ACORN sponsored protesters in front of AIG this week, be outside Fannie and Freddie next week?

My guess, the answer to these questions would be "NO".  But I could be wrong.

Though it is interesting that BO has backed off on his criticism of Executive pay as of late.

'Retention' bonuses, no less.

Was it buried in a corner on the last page of the Business section of your paper like it was in mine? ;P

I found it as the ninth bullet down on a listing with CBSnews.com.  I really do not know to many people who even read that website.

I'm suprised Fox does not have this as their lead story.

This is Barney Frank's baby, you remember him, one of the biggest cry-babies at the AIG bonuses staged outrage circus. IMO he is the father (mother?) of the sub-prime mortgage disaster. One corrupt hand washes the other.

I couldn't help but smile at this.  I *did* feel dirty after though.  :)

Well far be it for me to incorrectly label representative Frank, he has a habit of accusing his critics of being homophobic. I'll let the reader decide for themselves in fairness of choice.

My question to you guys:  How does Barney Frank get re-elected? I HIGHLY doubt there is a huge gay community among his constituents, yet I bet he fights more for the gay community then his own constituents.  Why is this lepton getting elected?

Question: What job can you vote for your own pay raise?

Question:  What job does each individual who works there get paid at least $165,000  + great benefits?

Question: What job do you only have to work on average 160 days!?

Next time you're talking to your boss maybe you should vote for your own pay raise or decide to only work 160 days!

If you are interested why congress only works 160 days a week and the difference betwween recess and what they do on their time off please check this video out: http://digg.com/d1HokY

That video is BRILLANT!  He should be President just because of the HIGHLARIOUTY!

Nitro, you've actually encourged me to make my 2nd post! And this will actually be it!

Because he is good at putting money into the hands of his top supporters. Plus progressive groups, such as MoveOn.org,, ensure he has plenty of favorable advertisement and campaign funding.

When a party is in the majority, the bright lights show the dirt a little more clearly (R or D). This dirt was there years before Bush left office, but the Democratic Party and its surrogates did an excellent job of deflecting any problems to Bush. You hear nothing now about the obscene bonuses our current Attorney General Eric Holder received when working at Fannie May, Reid and Pelosi declaring the Iraq war lost and the refusals by Democrats to fund the troops in combat, just to name a few.

Republicans definitely have their share of faults but IMO are not near as good as burying it. Of course when most of the media is in your pocket it is a bit easier. I think they won the election for Obama, as only serious people that did their own research would have any doubts about him (the rest share his agenda goals).
