Banned for anti-Communist bans. That it is against Party policy Comrade Kinglamppost.
Banned because it's Communism, and misspelling the term and espousing the misspelling as correct is also against Party doctrine, Comrade Scoutdog.
"March Of The Waaagh"

Banned for dredging up the death panels. Besides, death panels are SUPPOSED to be a SECRET.
"So give me something to believe"
banned for not drinking enough Whiskey that you can't believe
Banned because:
1. The quote is from a song I have.
2. No, I don't know the name of the song *sad face*
3. The quote doesn't say, "I can't believe", it says "Give me something to believe". So it's not that I don't believe something, it's that I'm asking for something to believe in.

Did anyone here know, that the M1911 handgun has a maximum effective range of about 75 yards?? And with a drop of ~15 inches, at this range. It pretty much sucks, frankly.
Also, check this out: http://www.sightm1911.com/lib/history/background.htm
Interesting stuff, to say the least.
"We were inhuman beings....butchers on a field of corpses....corrupt and depraved....only a sum of viscera, blood, and bone - Creatures without soul."
banned for morphing
well its a hand gun, designed for close in self defense
what did you expect, you want rifle ranges you buy a rifle not a hand gun
Banned for, still, its a gun. And 50-60 meters, is quite a short distance, even for a handgun.
I just googled it, primarily due to watching a Mythbusters episode, where they measured the max distance a bullet could travel before hitting the ground, with the gun at a level -- angle, and positioned at a height of 40 inches from the ground.
The bullet hit the ground at a length of 120 meters or 360 feet. (No wind interfered with the test. It was indoors)
So I thought, "if the bullet cant travel more than 120m, then how much is the gun's estimated effective range?" Not much, apparently ![]()
The Myth in test was: "A bullet fired from a gun and a bullet that is dropped, (both the gun, and the bullet positioned at the same height) will hit the ground at exactly the same time". The Myth was confirmed. The 2 bullets hit the ground, with a difference of 039 milliseconds, which was exactly the delay of their custom made launch system, otherwise the diff would be 0.
I just love physics ![]()

Banned because Mythbusters is awesome.
I wanna Pykrete boat!
Banned because it's a .45 round for an M1911 isn't it?
Do you reckon that you'd get more distance on a 9mm round from a handgun because it's lighter?
Banned because it's also a matter of twist, barrel length, the powder load of the bullet, etc. A 1911 often comes in .45, although there have been variants since public sale. I personally don't care for the weapon because of the low magazine capacity and lack of tight production standards with most American companies. Then again, it is an older designed weapon mostly wielded by those who simply have an affectation for it.
As for the bullets hitting the ground at the same time, that's always been a known aspect of Newtonian physics. I played with something similar in high school, but we used a sling shot and an egg. So, there's nothing 'myth' about it. What they should have said, although I feel those guys are entertaining but overrated, is that there is an exception to the rule. If a bullet were fired far enough to pass the visible horizon, then the curvature of the Earth would start providing a greater distance between the bullet's path and the ground, thus allowing it to drop after the bullet that was simply plopped down.
