Our highschool has a long history of nominating nerds as joke kings. All the band kids vote for them, and if regular turnout isn't so high, sometimes they win.

Maybe I would be less able to duck the question if I had a better idea of what the question was. The nerds all get together and pool their votes to get a nerd (usually the year's ubernerd) nominated for running as Homecoming King to show our contempt for the process. This year, I seem to have been that nerd.
