I'm in the middle of revising a weekly assignment plan because I've been both stabbed in the back by crappy LMS software and let down by the high schools that failed to prepare a distressingly large share of my students for basic tasks like writing complete sentences and citing a source.

Banned for kids now don't even speak in full sentences. Maybe a simpler language that they understand like textspeak would help, as in OMG, WTF,WYSIWYG, etc. Then all they need to do is type with their thumbs, thus assuring the turkey leg thumb mutation.

And you are all banned for higher education. What'cha trying to do, raise the IQ average of the world or something?

I'm irrationally convinced that if I won a big lottery prize, I'd start collecting them because I'm curious about nearly everything and actually enjoy a good seminar. The remuneration question varies wildly depending on the flavor of degree you're thinking about. My MA is in Gummint, which is not highly marketable unless you specialize in polling and/or campaign stuff. But it did help me land a couple of IT-related jobs that required both 'digital literacy' and real literacy.
