Banned because it's pretty simple, actually. Unless I got part of it wrong. It's one of those recipes that has never been written down. Next time Mom makes it I'll pay more attention.
To make a pan's worth you need:
- An onion
- A green pepper
- A pack of Bob Evans' Sausage Patties (twelve patties)
- Two boxes of that kind of chicken noodle soup that comes with a big concentrated lump of seasoning.
- Maybe two or so cups of rice.
- Dice and sautee the vegetables
- Cook the sausages in the same pan the vegetables were in (with them removed, of course). Get 'em nice and well done.
- Pour the rice in the pan, then put in the concentrated soup seasoning (breaking up any chunks)
- Add the vegetables and about two cups of hot water. Stir.
- Lay the sausages on top, covering the rice.
- Bake until it's at the consistency you want.
