Banned for the Roesh free traders.

I had a math teacher named Mr. Roesh in 7th grade.

A lot of people were scared of him because he yelled. He wasn't a particularly angry person, he just had no idea how to speak at normal volume. So you would ask him what the answer to problem 23 was, and he would respond "Cos(13/8)", because he was a helpful teacher, but he would do so at a volume level usually reserved for terrorist attacks and incitements to riot.

That ad actually came from the account I use to send out chapters of my novel, which are accompanied by a brief synopsis in the body of the email. Since the novel routinely deals with giant hunter-gatherer aliens, Chinese spies, genetic engineering, superconductors, feminism, and Battlestar Galactica, it's no surprise GMail is a bit confused about my tastes.

Banned because maybe you guys can help me with this one: I'm going to give that trooper character in my novel a really big, heavy, tank-busting weapon in a few chapters. I'd noticed that female characters in all of my favorite squad-based shooters are always wimpy things like snipers or medics or recon scouts, and surprise surprise I didn't like that. I was originally going for just a big-asterisk rocket launcher. Then I thought of something derived from the SpartanLaser of HALO fame (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Spartan_Laser).  Then my friend Simon floated the idea of this kind of "rotary railgun" in which a magnetic coil strapped to her back accelerates golf-ball-sized metal spheres to freakishly high speeds and then lobs them out of a shoulder-mounted tube. So many weapons... so hard to choose.

And yes, Redneck Rampage was a great source of hilarious awesomeness... that and Postal 2.

I'm not really sure how recon or snipers are wussy. Snipers show insane skill and usually pop the guys that no one else even sees. Recon are the first in and so deal with the grittiest shit if things go bad. Of course, you might not allow for such situations.

I would say laser gatling if you wanted to be badass. The backpack is a cool idea, but then you look like a ghostbuster with golf balls tits.
