Banned because I'm still puzzling over this. If you took a grav lift item in HALO: 3, turned it upside down and stuck it on the ceiling, would it still pull you UP, or would it push you DOWN??

banned for if it repels from one side only, then it would fall on the ground up side down with no special force. If it repels from both, you may or may not have enough mass to render it a useless device.

Banned because I just finished up a very long stats survey about people's knowledge of the Iraq War. One guy claimed that there were "about a billion" civilian deaths, while another guessed "ten".

I'm not sure it simply generates a repulsive force. Covenant gravity technology seems to work by creating localized gravitational fields at one end, which may or may not be dependent on the orientation of the generator. It would probably go down, but I'm not so sure...

Of course if we consider that this is a VIDEO GAME the answer is that the lift would still create a column ABOVE itself, because the item's behavior has nothing to do with the orientation of the model.
