There should be negative karma for all objectionable posts. after a score of - 10, a ban for 3 months

TOC's Language, spamming, flaming etc. and Stardock's gamers bill of rights is meaningless.

Stardock has an obligation to stop this behaviour not just "report" it. The games and forums should be safe for all.

Note:safe is even people you all don't like. Safe is safe to have opinion even when there are 50+ opiposed in disagreemnt. Stardock+groupthink. Notice the responses are 100% supportive of Stardock' irresponsible treatment,

  • Teen rating is for people as young as 13 and can include females. If you are a father would you want your daughter treated the way you see folks treated here. Don't believe you have many mothers here.
  • The internet Bullying has caused some teenagers to commit suicide.. look it uo. This is a real legal issue that Starsock is unwilling to statifactorily address even though Ive brought it up before. There are murder cases based on this,

So were are you BRAD? Missing in action. Ignorance is no excuse (doublle ententre intented).

No not about yourself what is is like the be the other person... I am used to this abusive behavior (and hate it). I fight for those who are not. Do you? Quit excusing your behavoir Stardock.

PS. I never said that users should give negative karma.. read carefully before flaming and spamming. I justr want Stardock to keep thier ToC's, don't weasle your way out and cahnge them.. enforce them. How about the stardock folks act like responisible, mature, adults. Try a dictionary if you don't understand what words mean like websters or oxford.

Because of the behaviour reported. I am banned but not the abuser. This is why i hold Stardock in LOW ESTEEM.  They DO NOT honor their commitments or contracts.

Most communications in the Off-Topic section should be cut off the Karma feature, then we'd know which users contribute the most to these GC2 Forums.

But, we're still beating a dead-horse again ( https://forums.galciv2.com/316367 )... negative Karma would certainly be abused to the point where Trolls (or anyone with a silly agenda or even personal vendetta)  could screw up the entire community dynamics and fool around with people's reputations for being really helpful to others. Call it an indicator of participation and a moderator "tool" to judge (or evaluate when necessary) membership, only.

I propose we take a vote to see if we'll petition Stardock to introduce negative karma for people who do not use correct Eglish, punctuation or grammar... that offenders amassing 10 negatives are slapped with a smelly kipper and must complete a 100 hour English education programme in a classroom of screaming grade-schoolers.

Those whose first language is not English are of course excluded from this initiative.

Actually, Dharma means the fulfilling of the law....

The Pali term Karma literally means action or doing. Any kind of intentional action whether mental, verbal, or physical, is regarded as Karma. It covers all that is included in the phrase "thought, word and deed". Generally speaking, all good and bad action constitutes Karma. In its ultimate sense Karma means all moral and immoral volition. Involuntary, unintentional or unconscious actions, though technically deeds, do not constitute Karma, because volition, the most important factor in determining Karma, is absent.

There is no word in English but, बुरा कर्मा means bad karma in Hindi...कर्मा is karma नकारात्मक कर्म is negative karma and धर्म is dharma. The concept of + or - karma actually has to do with the inception/intention stage of an action...but only when the karma 'ripens' does the karmic cycle end for that particular act, and that can be several 'lifetimes' later...or immediately. Most,if not all online games carry the ESRB notice "Game Experience May Change During Online Play."

The "T" rating goes out the window during online play. Forums do not get rated.:waaaa:

That's gone back and forth! Used to be you couldn't, then people wanted to edit after posting so SD did it, but as usual every change ends up biting us in the butt at some point. :P Not being able to edit at all is fine in most places, but a huge hassle for OPs and things like modding threads for the various games. I'd go for showing that the post was edited, and if possible, it'd be great making it a linky to see the pre-edit version.

Yay for accountability but still having it work well for legitimate reasons to edit.

If it's the same blacklist option that is on Impulse-Driven then that list allows to specify users who cannot reply to any threads that you post. They can read then still but to them your posts would appear locked.

I was just going to point out that change, but you beat me to it. That, and ID's post finally makes sense.

It is amusing that he would not see the irony of posting that he's banned, where the whole point behind a ban is to deny posting rights.
