64 bit support

This is probably an obvious one for the developers, but I din't see a thread on it.

I'd like to see a verison of Elemental with 64 bit support, so those of us with Vista 64 and lots of RAM can play on really huge maps beyond what the 2GB limit would normally allow.

or....    howabout this one.      This is where darkodinplus got his quote

Also, I think the already announced 64 bit version is discussed in most of the previews I've seen too.

Ummm... how will Elemental support 64-bit XP?  Impulse doesn't support 64-bit XP.

I hope you pre-ordered the game which will increase the beta testing for the 64bit support.  What better way to make sure the really huge maps don't have bugs!   If you are really interested in the 64bit support I guess you already pre-ordered which qualifies you for the beta testing.

obviously they will have to fix that.   (though, 64.bit XP is pretty broken in my experiance.  I don't think anything supports it really.   I mean, does 64-bit photoshop even support it?)

I'm running impulse on 64-bit windows 7 right now and it works just fine.  I mean impulse is running as a 32-bit program, but that doesn't mean it can't install a 64-bit game.

They also said that both 32-bit version and 64-bit version will be on 1 DVD, so if push really came to shove and they couldn't get out a compatible impulse somehow, you could just get the disc.  you can buy the disc off impulse.   I want whatever special goodies that comes with the collectors box anyway, so its no harm to me.

Yep, 64 bit = maps so big your hard drive will turn to dust before your army could cross the map. Assuming of course you have the 16 exobytes or so of RAM which is 64's limit...

I assume they'll drop support for XP 64-bit, as that's been widely discussed in the forums as having no support now or in the future.
