    1. This mod was created by JasonFJ, a Star Wars fan and avid gamer, who somehow managed to thrash out this mod despite holding down a full time job and one hell of a fine girlfriend. Appreciate my sacrifice!
    2. Goafan - The only other modder for Requiem, a great co-conspirator who has contributed a lot to the evolution and improvements of Requiem. Also the author of the "Requiem Plus" add-on.
    3. George Lucas - Full tribute belongs to George Lucas who as we all know was the originator of all thought and material that now comprises the Star Wars universe. George if you're ever in Singapore or Australia drop me an email I'd like to buy you dinner sometime. If you're a Lucasarts legal suit looking to sue me for copyright, consider how much free publicity I've given the company and franchise and consider sending me a $10,000 cheque for my time
    4. EvilJedi - for the significant graphics and audio effects that are the cornerstone of the mod without which I probably would never have done this mod.
    5. Gurkoz -  for the incredible sound effects that make this mod even better.
    6. ManShooter - for the Volumetric Explosions mod which was included in Requiem Entrenchment to v2.8... truly a god-like graphics enhancement!
    7. Tohklidan -for components of Celestial Bodies mod that really inspired me to work on the celestial bodies artwork.
    8. Uzii -for the planet textures and inspiration that came from the awesome Sins Plus mod.
    9. Bailknight and Moguta - for the original and continued development of this mod which I've adapted for use with Requiem Diplomacy.
    10. Credits to Grundel for the icon button graphics
    11. Thanks to Warmaster and all his info and guidance on making this mod as true to the Star Wars Universe as possible.
    12. Thanks to Carl for providing and prompting me to introduce the Alliance and Empire theme icons.
    13. A salutation to John Williams, the composer who wrote all the Star Wars movies music. If you like the music you can buy the official Star Wars music CD with all the songs from all the movies.
    14. Thanks to many posters over in the official Sins->Modders forum for all your helpful posts. Stimon000 and Vunda for early suggestions. Special mention to MajorStress and Harpo for helping out on the forums and contributing valuable material to not only Requiem, but the modding community in general.

    Hi all
How do I build the biggest Mon Cals like the Maria (don't have the prerequisite for it)??

when you try and click on it and your missing a "req" it will tell you what your missing.  one thing you will need that I was missing, when I ran into this, was the diplo one...forgot the name though (at work) :/ ~

I really want to try out this mod, but there doesn't seem to be a 2.8 full release one listed on your site

There's all the upgrade ones, but i'd rather not have to download an old mod then manually patch it 3-4 times, so many things can go wrong!

If someone can direct me to a full version of this i'd be very grateful

    Running latest version Entrenchment

far as I know there is no "complete" mod.  you have to go through each one, takes a few extra moments is all but understand your view point.~

The Diplomacy beta if full release, but it is still quite a bit cruder than the Entrenchment version of the mod. If I have time I'll upload my fully patched version if you want.

I'm going to have only two versions to download for both Entrenchment and Diplomacy: the "main" download that has the bulk of the content... and one "patch" file that will always take you to the latest version always.

Requiem 3.0 (for Diplomacy) is on track for release Thursday night AEST (that's Australian time). I'll also make the Requiem 2.8 (for Entrenchment) "patch" file too.

The reason for this madness is server load... it's a lot of download if people want to download 8 patches and each one is 250Mb! Easier to download the main content and little 5Mb or so patch files.'

Goa... the Diplomacy release is BETTER than the Entrenchment I think! It's got everything the Entrenchment version has plus a new planet (Swamp), all planet bonuses inplemented and icon'ed, the Accalamator siege frigate and an improved optionally enabled transparent HUD. That, and some free steak knives!

Well I was referring to the Empire only beta that you put up a while ago but that is good news.  I think I'll diffidently have to finally get around to buying diplomacy this weekend lol.

I don't have diplomacy yet, is it any good? And does entrenchment work with diplomacy, or can you only have one running at a time?

is it any good?  a matter of taste I suppose.  I like it.  :)

yes...entrenchment works with Diplo.  they effectively build upon each other and include everything before: Original-->Entrenchment-->Diplomacy.  so one can play diplomacy and it includes original and entrench....but, if you play entrench it only includes the original.  make sense, or clear as mud?  heh~

Its stackable...If you have One of the two you can only use the one of two. If you have them all then play diplo and you can use Entrench stuff and original and diplo. But if you have JUST entrench or JUST diplo. then your missing a piece of the puzzle. Best just to buy it all :D

scopesgt, if they have diplomacy, then they WILL have entrenchment as entrenchment is a REQUIREMENT for diplomacy, so the options for people are one of the three,

    1 sins only

2 sins with entrenchment, but NO diplomacy (entrenchment REQUIRES sins)

3 sins, entrenchment AND diplomacy (diplomacy REQUIRES sins & entrenchment) also call trinity.

this is a rephrasing of the ironclad/stardock statements on the matter over the past 2 1/2 years, and a restating of whiteperegrine's statement trying to correct your information on the issue.

I didn't progress the creation of the Diplomacy version untl the last month, but the additional options are nice to have.

Initially I didnt really do much apart from pure warfare, but Diplomacy is quite useful for "softening" up your opponents and usnig the AI to your advantage.

btw the Diplomacy mod is now hosted at http://sins.imperial.cc. Hope there are no bugs!

Only bug I've seen so far Jason, was a minidump when building the planetary gun.

It will be a cold day in hell when there are no bugs ever :) Thanks for that; if that's the worst of it then I'm pretty happy with the full rebuild approach!

    Mods great :D
Only problem i have is the stupid 2gig :(  other than that it plays great and looks great. I love zooming out and still seeing the lasers flying all around and the occasional explosion of a ship blowing up. Reminds me of when look was in the death star watchin the fight outside :D great job :D keep it up!

You know I've never ever had a minidump related to a 2Gb issue.

Having said that I do run Windows 7 64-bit with 12Gb RAM.... but even so the virtual app container is still 32-bit and should expose me to the same issue.

And when I'm doing development work I'm running a) Sins Diplomacy Dev mode, b) Adobe Photoshop (32 bit version so that Nvidia DDS plugin works) wih 3-6 DDS images open, c) 3DS Max with a scene loaded, d) UltraEdit, e) Firefox with 6 or more tabs used, at least 3 Windows explorer windows and a VLC video playback window.

    Never an issue, not once.

So I don't know why some of you have the 2Gb issue. Maybe it's not the 2Gb issue but your graphics card? I mean I'm running a Nvidia GTX 280.

    jason,

their minidump probs are most likely from 1 lazyness, or 2 greed( both from having the graphics settings too high because it does take some effort to drom the graphics from very high(the default) down to medium or even low, depending upon their playstyle ie zooming in to look at individual ships, like you I very rarely have minidumps, but I turn off the trade frigate icon & turn down the graphics, and in my computers the video cards range from
an integrated ati in an OLD laptop winxp32bit 3gbram(field research),
    geforece 7600 winxp32 4gbram (primary development machine),
    geforce 8600gt xp32 & 64&vista32 & 64  4gb ram(test/development),
    geforce 8800gt 4gb ram(test & burning),
    ati 4850 winxp 32bit,win7 32 & 64bit 8gb ram(test/development),
    ati 4850 win7 8gb ram(test/development),
    currently ati4350 winxp 32bit & win7 64bit 6gbram (building a replacement primary dev/game/test machine will get 12gb & ati5850)

all of these are sins enabled, and have run several hour long games without problems
