Yes it is suppose to be "Screenshot of the Day', but sometimes it stays up untill something better comes along. 
I'm questioning the infrequency of change, not choice of shot.
That was the point of the question Philly. It appears that no one is.
It's an excellent and valid question which unfortunately stirs mixed emotions around this community Karmat!
At this point in time I guess showing patience is the right thing to do for now.
It is not just the Screenshot of the Day, the Featured Skin has been the same skin since at least March 11th.
I would think that since they hope to have the new site up by the end of the month, they are not paying much attention to these features of the site right now.

So I suppose that I just picked the wrong smiley to display what I though was humorous. Oh well, such is life. 
I agree wholeheartedly with what you, Karmat and Philly are saying, it does get a bit to much when the same screenshot stays up all the time like this.....but I also put it down to they have more important issues to work on right now, at least thats what I think it is......but as for 50 or more better coming along since then, I don't think so 
...Ha Ha Ha Ha Hha Ha Ha Ha Ha only joking I have also seen quite a few that should have kicked me out of top spot long ago......but as I said, I can only think its because they have more important issues right now....I'm very sorry about it, I didn't mean for it to happen, with my ss stuck up there, I would gladly change it if I could....sorry

If it's because your too busy updating the website, I'd totally understand ------ especially if you gave us another sneek peakof what's up and coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This is the part where members must show patience and restraint.
That's all we can do for now.
We may not even get a response here and instead you'll just see the shot change when the word's given at the right time.
