i dont see why not......i would lose the userpic though....but thats only my opinion...the start button is mega cool.
I'm with vampothika, Lose the user pic and the start button is cool. By the way where is the XP version of SDV 
WOW. Looks great. I like it just the way it is, with the user pic :) That's just my opinion.

I say go for it! Fantastic looking concept there,Robbie_Boy. I am in the "keep the user pic" group but maybe you could do a substyle without it. Too early to think of a name yet,keep us posted on your progress please.
I like Wiz's suggestion re additional substyles. I've loved this look ever since neOS...danilloOC's superskin (and wish he'd do a Vista update).
Additional substyles with transparancy in the Start menu...maybe? Maybe not...up to you.
I do think it's worth pursuing, though. You do really good stuff, Robbie_Boy!
I love skins with shit bolted on. I relly like that the screw-threads in the pic don't line up. Nice choice.
Keep with it. It looks great so far.

As for SDV XP I'm doing it as and when i can (have two jobs now so don't have much time)
And the old rig i gave my son (with xp on it died last week) so i'm waiting for a part to fix it and then i will be back on finnishing SDV.
Any idear on a cool name let me know.

Looks great Robbie! But yeah....first thing to get modded would be that user pic.....I never use those things. Looks like "Glass Panes."
Oh damn!....just remembered...gotta finish that last dock for you. Got caught up in the current Winstep theme! Will get that done this weekend! Sorry bud!

Looks decent Robbie, I'd peronally lose the bolts, seeing they were prominent in the last theme. Secondly I might replace the PS satin layer style feature effect in the start button, doesnt really fit imo.
This is just preference based feedback.. good luck with it.

If you want *cough* *cough* some one to make a dxtheme to go with it let me know...

Some good names too but still not fixed on one yet..... 
Just plain screwed. (name) Rob, I like the user pic. Guess I'm too late for the DX theme...Merle....you're too damn fast for me!
