Equal time: In defense of Obama's stimulus...

So I'm hearing discussion on the radio, News Radio to be specific, not Talk Radio, where there's whinin' going on that we're not seeing any results from Obama's stimulus efforts, and most specifically, well, demands for specifics from the Fed and Treasury on where the TARP funds are going to.

Not that I wouldn't appreciate transparency in where the TARP funds are going to, and not that I'm all that confident that Geithner and Obama really have the situation under control, but in fairness and in the name of equal time, how about some of these impatient s.o.b.'s sit their butts back down and get the frack off my TV and radio until, well, until after a few months (or perhaps a few quarters of the year) have passed and we've actually had a chance to see what the results of Treasury's tinkering and Obama's stimulus are doing.

Apparently some people don't understand the natural cycle and how long it can take for money to really start getting into the economy from government spending programs, and how long it'll take for that money to really start flowing through multiple hands.

How much patience do we need?  How long do we wait to see results?  Again, I don't know for sure, but I think giving our leaders a quarter or two of our time might not be a bad idea.  We've gotten 'help' for homeowners that are hurting (and not really people that shouldn't be in the homes they were in, but somewhat restricted to people that would hopefully be able to hold onto their home with a little help), and we're continuing to inject funds into the banks and insurance companies to help get credit flowing.  Should we expect it to happen overnight? NO, which is entirely the point of this quick article.  We have to have some patience.
