IT DOESN'T WORK!
i HAVE TRIED EVERY METHOD i THINK OF INCLUDING JUST PLAIN COPYING THE BMP I WANT OVER THE BMP IN ANOTHER ORIGINAL (eg. welcome1) AND I KEEP GETTING A SOLID WHITE BAR BELOW MY BMP ON EXT AND ON LOAD! WHY!?

I've also tried changing the bmp on the bottom panal, setting it's vision to false and editing the ini and ui, so good luck figuring this one out for me, i know someone can, or else those fancy edits for dl wouldn't exist!
What OS version are you using?
One thing you can do SpYk3 is contact one of the skinners who is currently making LogonStudio skins. They will normally help where and when they can.![]()
Bottom panel can not be set to false, this will give the white panel when done.
just take a black magic marker and draw a line across the bottom of your screen then you wont see the white line... ![]()
seriously though, I know nothing about LS but I do know a little bit about SKS and bmp's. is there any transparent parts in your image? are you sure the "magic pink" is true magic pink (255 - 0 - 255), if using a layer based software like photoshop did you flatten the image? if so don't, that will change the background from magic pink to white.
in other thoughts. will LS accept .png files? I don't know but I find png easier to work with than bmps because transparency in pngs is simple as a tranparent background not a "magic" color.
I don't know if you're talking about Logons for Vista or XP, but if you're talking about XP, I found something I've been using lately right here: http://boss019.deviantart.com/art/My-Very-Own-Logon-32414672
You won't learn anything from it, but it's slick.

decide how tall you want the bottom panel - crop that much off the bottom of your pic - use the cropped piece as the bottom panel
