Abort the Gays!

We've been having our own little debate about gay marriage and abortion in Australia. A supposedly Christian Party, calling themselves Family First (the name seems about as appropriate as the name Liberal Party is for John Howard's Liberals Party) have weighed in, arguing for the tightening of abortion laws and definitely no gay marriage. In fact one of their former candidates stated his support for burning lesbians at the stake. And you thought America was right wing conservative! And I have this to say....

Family First should be supporting abortion. If scientists in the future are able to identify a homosexual gene, then we could check for it during ultrasounds and have all the lesbians aborted before they even get born. It would save money on stakes and matches.

Personally I support even later term abortions: It’s not too late to abort John Howard or George Bush. Or Family Worst could try to cut down the abortion rate by aborting any mothers going into abortion clinics.

Hey Champas... it is all very scary at the moment. I think Pauline was much less a threat than this family worst party. What has the world come to? It is going to be very interesting to say the least in the coming months. I think Politics should be about politics and religion shouldnt influence politics at all.

And before the Yanks get up Phoenixboi for that comment about religion and politics, Australia does have a proud history of separation of church and state. I personally think such a separation is necessary in order to ensure religious freedom and cultural diversity.

Champas Socialist. Dude. Youre my hero. If it is alright with you, I will be referring to you as "The Champ" from now on. Even when I don't agree with you, I never fail to enjoy reading you. I will now lapse into a long foray of "I"m not worthy's" a la Wayne's World's Wayne and Garth in the presence of Aerosmith.

What with the rising prices of petrol Family First really should be thinking seriously about moving to abortions. Witches just don't burn like they used to...

Great article Champas!

Actually I am not familiar with either of the Wayne's World full length motion pictures. My reference was to the SNL episode where Tom Hanks was host and Aerosmith the musical guest.

For many years now, people who support gay rights and abortion have been demanding "tolerance" from conservatives. So why then are people who demand tolerance from others so damn intolerant of consevatives?

I'm very happy to see that America is indeed a conservative nation. To all the liberals out there I say, screw you all! Be tolerant and see how you like ideas you dislike being constantly shoved down your throats!

Huba huba!

Yes Shark, I forced you to come here and read my blog. And I forced you to not take it with even the tiniest dose of humour. As far as my supposed intolerance, may I point out to you that actually these days I have more friends who are conservatives than I have friends who are pinkos. And my pinko friends all think I'm too right wing.
