Can't Install Sins or Entrenchment!

I finally finished my Go Big or Go Home game as TEC and then I finally got the chance to download the full version of Entrenchment.

I heard that it is vital to uninstall sins before installing this update due to the fact that entrenchment is now compatible with sins.

I uninstalled Entrenchment first. When I did that, Sins also uninstalled. When I re-downloaded Sins, it went to 100% but it didn't install. It just stayed like that. I also tried to download Entrenchment, but the same thing happened.:(

When I went into control panel (I have Windows XP) I found Sins but not Entrenchment. It said that Sins was installed but I couldn't uninstall it. I clicked on 'remove' but nothing happened.

I can't install using the disk either, it causes an unspecified error for both easy and advanced installs.>:(

Also, the impulse icon is missing from the impulse dock. :'(

I unistalled Impulse. This had no effect. I did a Sytem Restore. Now even Impulse won't work. Now this message comes up:

"Impulse encoutered an error and must shut down."X(

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?

Anyone?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Oh and now there is another problem !!!!XO X(

"Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

If I click on this box, then a giant white square comes up with a big red cross.

WHAT DO I DO?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Someone, anyone please answer me!

Oh wait and there is still more!

there is now a "details box" which has a very very long list called "Exception text" with something about "just-in-time (JIT) debugging. There also seems to be something wrong with my "CodeBase" files for Windows and StardockCentral but I don't have Stardock central!

Any help or comments would be highly appreciated.

Search your registry and clear it of all entries for Sins, Entrenchment, and Impulse (after uninstalling) and try again. If It doesn't work, try using ccleaner.

Just make sure to do this AFTER uninstalling, or you will be left with one heckuva clean-up.

You may need to manually remove the game folder, and delete 2 Registry Keys before you'll be able to re-install.

Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire (or where ever you installed the game) and delete the main folder.

Then launch the System Registry (Start-> run, and type regedit)
Look for and delete the following Keys;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sinsentrench

For Vista 64 bit;
HKLM>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Stardock>Drengin.net>sins
HKLM>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Stardock>Drengin.net>sinsentrench

Then, reboot your PC and go back to Impulse and try installing the base game. Make sure it installs to 1.13 version, test it out before then installing entrenchment.
