Warning me when my starbase is under attack please.

When a Capital ship is under attack, we get audio reminders. "One of our capital ships' shields are down"! "Our Capital ship is heavily damaged"! These are really useful for me because I can send a fleet into battle and wait for the reminder so I know when my cap is at half HP(Hull 100%, shields gone), and quarter HP (shields gone, Hull at 50%)

I would like the same audio cues for Starbases. On my first game last night, I built up about 4 starbases. One of them in a uncolonizable gravity well to act as a trade port, I didn't upgrade the armor or weapons. Unfortunately Without any warning I noticed that my trade route was cut in half and greatly lowered my income. I investigated and I had a capturable metal mine where the starbase was and I saw a couple adjudicators and a Radiance battleship. I quickly figured out what had happened. My starbase was destroyed. I was annoyed because I had no warning that was happening. How am I supposed send my fleet to rescue it when I didn't know it was ever in danger?

I think we need a warning when a starbase is under attack, when its shields are out and when its at 50% Hull. Just like Capital ships.

I agree. I don't think there are any specific warnings for starbases. make them the same as for capships (but with starbase instead of capital ship of course), those work pretty fine.

Yes I agree too! Also give option to turn off AUto Pin for starbases, and another voice queue for when it is done building a starbase!

Actually, about the pinning - every well with a SB in it is auto pinned, but I cannot' unpin them. In my larger games I have this ungodly nimber of planets I can't unpin on my sidebar. :( They need to be able to be unpinned.

 

Also I totally dig this starbase warning idea. I would certainly like to be notified. :D
