Sale on WB disappeared, and WinCustomize broken

Two problems:

First, I received an email a couple weeks ago from Stardock with an offer for WindowBlinds for $10. The email said the offer expired on 2/28 and had to be purchased through Impulse. I figured I'd give it a shot and went through Impulse to buy it, but the sale apparently doesn't actually exist. At every step right up to and including the final purchase screen, the price is listed as $20. I'm not buying the product for double the advertised price.

Second, while putzing around writing the above, I went over to WinCustomize, Stardock's official skin gallery, to see if there were any skins better than the one I'm using now on an old WB5 trial. But every skin I try to download, in Firefox and IE but logged in and out, just brings up a message saying the page does not exist. In addition, most every preview image, thumbnail or full, is broken.

So right now, even if I could buy the product for the advertised price, I wouldn't even be able to use it in the advertised manner. Which leaves me wondering, would it even work at all?
