Internet Explorer 8 Ate my Windowblinds

I just installed IE 8, and now my Windowblinds settings don't work at least in IE.  Specifically the buttons on web pages are really small and the IE drop down menus are blank.  I tried several different skins with the same results.  The native WXP settings work fine.  But I miss my window(s) dressings.  Please help.  TIA.

Sorry you're having a tough time with this Tom.  Sounds like a pain in the patootie!

Unfortunately, IE8 being in test phase (beta) has nothing to do with how your WindowBlinds is acting.

If WindowBlinds was working correctly with IE7, then it's a beta issue with your new browser.  And Microsoft doesn't support beta products.

Again it's unfortunate, but these are the risks of being a beta tester.  And you're laying your system down on the line in the name of developement.  I love testing, but I passed on this one because IE7 isn't broken.

Revert your browser back to IE7, clean your registry of any remnants of IE8, makes sure all of your service packs are up to date and see if this clears it up.  As a last resort, roll your system back to before you installed IE8.

If IE8 is treating your system like crap, pass on the testing and wait for the full version to launch.  Soon as the bugs are knocked out, I'll be there too.

Good Luck Tom!

Good response, Cp. I'd bet anything it's an issue with ie8 rather than WB.

Betas have issues which haven't been fully worked out. When the ie8 becomes finalized (it's RC1 now, I think) if there's still an issue, SD will work it out. It's hard to be patient, but there's no other option. Roll back to ie7 is good advice.

I'm using IE8 and cureently have no problems with WindowBlinds.

Some of the things you mention were corrected in a WindowBlinds update a couple of weeks ago.  Prior to its release IE8 was not working very well on my XP system to the point I rolled back to IE7.  Check and make sure you have the lastest version of WindowBlinds available through Impulse.

What OS are you running?

And, IE 8 is now released... out of beta, out of RC1, and the problems persist:  almost nonexistent text boxes and tiny buttons.  This is throughout the web and seems to be only when it's a text box with a decision button associated.  I turned off WindowBlinds and the problem goes away.  Not sure what MS changed about the relationships, but WindowBlinds breaks it.  Any chance revisiting this issue?

Disregard - I downloaded the latest WB update from Impulse and this is fixed.
