Fantasy Wars Esque Combat??

I've not played Fantasy Wars yet...  I'm not sure I'm going to grab it or not considering everything else that's around right now.  Maybe later....   Anyway, I found it because I was looking for something on Fantasy General...and older title I really enjoyed.  Somone recommended Fantasy Wars as a spiritual successor to Fantasy General.  So I download the video for it...  I LOVE how the combat looks.  Not having played it, I can't speak to how it works mechanically, but it looks really nice.  What's in store for us with Elemental?  Could someone speak a little, even just generally, about how combat will look?

i dont know about combat in elemental but i would wait until elven legacy comes out instead of getting fantasy wars.  it is a stand alone sequel and is supposed to be out in the US sometime in march.

we want to know how combat is going to work beyond it being something like: HoMM, X-com, Total War, MoM, and or fantasy wars/general (Actually that last one I don't think has been officially mentioned, but I've seen several people around the forum, including here, relate that game to this one so I guess there must be similarities)
