What's with Banks?

Banks Beating Up On Consumers!!

What is going on in the Financial world?

All of a sudden the Banks are going crazy- I was refused a mortgage from my bank for 30% of the adjusted market value because my credit score is only 680. ( They just wrote a mortgage for me 8 months ago with the same credit score) Evidently, paying your bills on time and having more cash in the bank than what you are asking for in use of a mortgage is not important. Yes, I have three times as much cash  in their bank as the mortgage I was asking for. To make matters worse, i was one day late on a note and they charged me $40 and froze my accounts. Is this really United States of America.

To add fuel to the fire, I received a notice from Citibank that they are going to change my interest rates at will regardless of payment history.

In this economy, we don't need the banks beating on us when we are good customers. I am hearing horror stories from many people about the same subject.

What is going on?
