Hey, I saw a post yesterday asking for people's fave ship. But pessimistic me thought - What's your most hated ship?
Mine (as a TEC player) is the oh so light armoured Sova Carrier!

Most Hated when playing against:
tec - robotics cruiser swarm
vasari - i don't really hate it, but I always go after the egg first to keep my caps from being nano-ed to death
advent - guardians
of course when playing each of those races, they become my favorite ships
LOL! Once when someone did that to me I just spammed flakkies. Man I never knew a cap ship could level up so fast!
And since they're carriers the fighters would just come back and be more experience. I won the battle but lost the capital though. 
next time i'll have like 10 Hoshes too to go along 
The light carrier + instantly replacable Strike Craft.
For completely ruining this game and making it into a spammer's heaven.

My least favorite to play with has to be the Antorak Marauder. Its barely capable of combat its non ultimate abilities are all hard to use efectively and the autocast AI for its abilities is totaly stupid. The only truely good thing it has going for it is base speed witch is fairly fast for a capital.
The Only thing that keeps it from the scrapyard is its stabilize phase space ultimate ability. If its going to become a decent ship it needs better normal abilities. Say replace distort gravity for a passive speed boosting aura and subversion for a variant of the navigators of phasic cloak it would fit nicely with its phase out hull ability. Changes like these would also enhance its so called ability to help with guerilla warfare.
On pure looks? Kodiak.
If you look at capitals, the ugliest is the Advent's siege cap. Ew.
Ship wise, meh, I always find the flaks to be the most annoying. They hardly damage my fleet, but they take forever to destroy.
I definitely agree that the Vasari Antorak Maurauder is TERRIBLE. For the TEC, I'd have to go with the Cielo Command Cruiser. It is useful, but not nearly as useful as the Iconus Guardian or Serevun Overseer. And for the Advent, I positively despise the Revelation Battle Cruiser
When I'm playing AGAINST the TEC, I loathe Marza Dreadnoughts, but especially Hoshiko Robotics Cruisers. The repair drones mean that it takes forever to get through the enemy fleet, and the sabo-drones aren't terribly good for my ships either... against the Advent, the Iconus Guardian is INCREDIBLY annoying for its shielding and repulsion abilities. And when playing against the Vasari, their Vulkoras Desolator is deadly for both my ships and my planets.
I would have to say the heavy seige vessel, they kill most of my ships all of the time
"fairly fast for a capital?" what are you talking about? the Maruader is the second fastest unit in the game (not counting SC)

You would be surprised at how effective Phase Out Hull can be. Distort Gravity is very good to.Subversion does suck though. The ultimate ability I find to be rarely useful.
Anyway, the ship I hate the most is probobly the drone host with the hoshiko as a close second. The Ai spam the so much it is very annoying.
Thing is, before carriers people spammed lrms. People will always spam something - you will never get away from that. Period. That's this game, and that's every other game. If carriers are nerfed, there will be a new spam. Now, that doesn't mean carriers shouldn't be nerfed (perhaps they should be, perhaps they shouldn't be). It's simply to say that you should just mentally prepare yourself for spam of some kind. If it isn't carrier spam it will be lrms, heavy cruisers, or if all of those entities are nerfed, then light frigates. In entrenchment beta, complaints were roaring about mine spam. Next, who knows.
I'd recommend you try to cultivate a minimal taste for spam, if for no other reason than simply to preserve your sanity. Go out and buy a can of it - seriously. Fry it up in a pan. Try to doctor it up a little, whether it's with a little ketchup, some onions, whatever. Throw it between a couple slices of bread and choke it down. Do this several times and you might at least train yourself to overcome the vomit reflex, LOL.
