[HELP NEEDED] Getting error on every single logon I make

Hello...

I get a error on every logon I make.

I am able to save them, but the errors appears right when I click at "Apply"..

The first error I get is: "ReplaceBmp Error" which say: Could not open: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Administrator\Bitmap_125.bmp

Then it say: "ReplaceBmp Error" : Could not open: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Administrator\Bitmap_126.bmp

Then: "ReplaceBmp Error" : Could not open: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Administrator\Bitmap_124.bmp

And then: "ReplaceBmp Error" : Could not open: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Administrator\Bitmap_105.bmp

Then the screen turns bacl with a new screen: "Parser Message" : Value Creation Failed " at line 34

After clicking OK, the classic Windows Logon Mode comes up, asking for pass, of the Windows account...

And then it just gets back to LogonStudio...

Completely the same problem appears on every logon I make...

There doesn't come any sort of problems with downloaded logon's...

Line 34=Running too many programs can slow down your computer. \nIf your computer is running more slowly than normal, try closing some programs.

I tried to close every program I had open, and loaded up Logon Studio, with NO other programs, same problem :|

I have uploaded one of the logon skin I made.. Try check it, and if you find anything I made wrong with it, then please try fix it, and tell me what you changed with it ^_^

Link To Download: http://www.sendspace.com/file/1qqdax

Now, my dream is to get a solution, so I can start making my own logon skins ^_^

So please, if you think you got the power to help me out, then please let me know the solution. O:)

Thanks for reading

Best Regards

Could not open:

This tells me that you have not disabled the dividers in editor but have deleted the images from the skin folder or you have edited them and they are not a proper bmp file.

Line 34=Running too

Errors normally refer to a line in th UIFILE not the theme.ini. Line 34 in UIFILE is for Bitmap_125, again tells me you have deleted but not set skin not to use it.

Well, Cavan, what will your resolution be? This problem doesn't only go for one skin, but for ALL that I make.

Also, all the pictures I use is loaded from other skins, which I have downloaded..

Ok, lets deal with this first, if you are planning on uploading logons to WC to share you can't use images from other peoples logons without permission, if you are making for personal use then this is fine.

I would say 99% of the logons here at WC do not use the dividers so not sure what images you are trying to use for them,

I will download the one you have linked and take a look at it.

Thanks. And BTW, it aint the background I have taken from other uploads, it's just the icons..

And theese days am I only doing it for personal use, as I need training on using the program..

I will start uploading, whem I fell im ready (will take time)...

Ok, as I thought, you have deleted Bitmap_124,125,126 from folder but have not in Editor, disabled them. You should never delete images from folder even if not using them, causes problems.

Start over with new logon from Logonstudio config, delete no images from folder, just set them in editor not to be used.

Beleive me, I'll get the same problem... But I have found out something... Try to edit it, and go under "Panels" then "Buttom Panels" and "Drividers".. Try add any picture, then the problem with the 126, and 127 dissapears... 125 remains, but the Background get ruined.. Just try it out, please. Cause beleive me, I'll just get the same problem if I make a new one, I have tried plenty of times...

I guess I know what im doing wrong!!!! As the same problem appears over and over, it can't be anything to do with deleting.. I think, almost know, that I havent even replaced thoose 125,126, and 127... Do you know where they can be added on the editor?

You were also missing Bitmap_105, after replacing all buttons ,divders, etc was able to get logon to apply using your car image.

As I have said above, Do Not Delete Images From Folder.

where they can be added on the editor?

Start over with a new logon and all default images will be there.

I guess I know what im doing wrong!!!! As the same problem appears over and over, it can't be anything to do with deleting.. I think, almost know, that I havent even replaced thoose 125,126, and 127..

Bitmap_105,125,126 and 127 were not in your folder, this can only happen if you go into folder and delete them. Again as above, the images not being in folder can and does cause problems.

Just so you know who is trying to help you, I have 139 Logons uploaded here at WC, I do know what I am trying to let you know.

But I just keep doing the same thing wrong.... I have tried to make 2 new, since you posted, without even entering the folder, where the logo got saved.. There is something im messing...

Maybe your install of Logonstudio has gone bad, I have had this happen a few times, download ODNT Zapper , use it to uninstall logonstudio, note; move your skins folders from logonstudio folder first or it will remove them as well. Then download and reinstall LogonStudio.

Ok. I have now done excactly what you said... Unfortunally the same errors appears again  :'(

You are still getting errors about the dividers? Are you doing anything to/with them in editor? If you go to the skin folder are those images still there?

Well... You can see what pictures I get... The file I uploaded, you know... It's excactly the same result I get all the time...

I have tried to make 2 new, since you posted

Are you naming it the same, if so have you deleted the folder for the messed up version, if using same name and folder is still there it may be an overwriting issue. Save images you want to use in another folder, delete any/all versions and then try starting new again.

I already tried that before I made this topic... Can't you try to EDIT the logon I uploaded, and fix it, so it works correctly?

And then upload it, then we'll maybe see what im doing wrong...

Try making a new logon, different name, make no changes to it, open skin folder and see if Bitmap-105, 124,125 and 126 are in folder. If not I would quess you are on the the very few for whom LogonStudio will not work correctly, this is very rare but have seen it a few times. You must remember Logonstudio is unsupported software and no longer under development, it is as is software.

With the skin you have uploaded, when I put the missing images into the folder it applies fine from logonstudio config and the editor.

That's what I need to know! Which, how, where, do you put the missing images in? I need to know which, how, where, and where you get the missing images from.. ?

I got them from one of my logons. Bitmap_105.bmp, 124, 125 and 126.

Open a folder for any of the logons you have downloaded, you will see them there, copy and paste into folder of your logon and see what happens.

When you create a new logon they should be there by default, if they are not, as above, seems like, for whatever reasons, LogonStudio is/will not work properly on your system.

Nothing you do in the Editor will delete the missing images, only manual delete will remove them.

Ok. I have now tried to create a new one, and save it without changing ANYTHING on it... There aren't even the 105,124,125, and 126 images, in the folder where I created the new one, which I didnt edit anything of... Now, I tried to download a logon, and copied and pasted the images into the new one I created, pasted them there, and.. No error.. It almost worked.. Look at the picture I uploaded, that's what it show's, when the logon screen comes, very poor qulity...

Also, there is still something wrong.. I guess that LogonStudio should save thoose 105,124,125, and 126 by it self? It can't be possible that I have to paste them there in this way? Anyway, before we start looking on that, then let's hope we can fix this logon...

For center panel set first and last color to black ( 0 0 0 ), set the style to stretched so image fills screen.

Yes it should, I have no idea why it is not doing so.

uninstall LogonStudio

delete the whole logon studio folder in: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize

reboot

get a new download and install LogonStudio

open it and click - new

give it a name then save it

close logon studio, then go look in the folder to see if those bitmaps are there

seems odd though, since...

if downloaded logons work and the ones that come with LStudio work, then it's at your end during the time of creation

Now I'm wondering if you have windows set not to show file extensions... and whether it has anything to do with it...

when you open folders with pictures does it show the file extenstions (the " .bmp, .jpg " etc)?

if not, open a folder, click tools > folder options > view tab - uncheck 'hide extensions for know file types', click apply

also what graphics editor are you saving with? how are you saving? and how are you going in to change the default pics to what you want?
