That's a police function. And most police that I know personally feel the same way. To the point of not seeing the *supposed* altercation. I for one would feel much safer under greywars watch than yours then, drmiller, since you not only advocate illegal violence, but seem to think that it's something to *wink* at when the police brutalize people who are innocent of any legal wrongdoing. While im a *right winger* ( if one must put a label on me at all) I in no way advocate violence against those who choose to excercise their first amendment rights to freedom of speech. That freedom doesnt just apply to those whose views are currently popular. Even the most despicable amongst us need to be afforded the freedom to express themselves, if only in order to expose that rottenness for what it is, a cancer on our nation slowly eating away at its foundations. Me, id rather see them in public than met behind closed doors..... Edited to add: Bravo to my Conservative kindred for disciplining 'one of their own' rather than egging him on. If the leftists amongst us had done the same in the last few years, Kerry might have had a chance. |
actually, while naturally it hinged on the issue of slavery, states rights, and the ruling on Frederick Douglas, that's exactly the straw that broke the camel's back and started the civil war.........
Debating the cause of the Civil War is something of an academic cliche. Who really knows what caused it? I blame Muggaz.
I guess on this issue we'll have to agree to disagree.
I can live with that. After all it gave me the idea for another article
Down that road lies Iraq, The Janjaweed, and Brownshirts
insightful!

Marking this one down on the calendar!
it aint the first and i doubt itll be the last. i may not always (or even somewhat less frequently even) see things in the same way as you, but that doesnt diminish my respect or appreciation for your perception.

Thanks, thats quite humbling actually. (I have never dealt well with praise)

Let's take a collection and buy them one way tickets to wherever they want to go so they'll be happy.
While I respect these people's right to do these things, I personally find it low, disgusting, and pathetic. I find burning the flag to be an offensive and crass way of showing dissent.
