What is not working? Do you have the Theme downloaded into the MyColors program? All you should need to do is launch MyColors and register Think Green using the serial number, it should download and when finished, be available to apply the Theme.

Im using Vista x64 too, and it works even though it was a bit tricky, it wouldnt accept the fact that it was registered at first.
Anyways, think green seems to have made my computer freeze at least once aday so I had to revert back to aero.

I have Windows 7 and Think Green has changed all my desktop icons to green folders, can't get rid of them. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Any ideas?

I have recently downloaded Think Green for FREE. I'm not having any magor problems though, its just that the globe in the bottom left, the start menu begin icon is always choppy, the image takes a while to load and even then it just breaks in the middle, sometimes only half of the image loads. I'm pretty new around here and all I have got from stardock is Cursor FX and ObjectDock.

So I'm still trying to get used to Think Green. Is this normal or is there a way to solve the image problem? Also, I'm using Windos XP.

It's 2010 and the problem remains... running Windows 7 x64. I installed this "MyColors" program to step-through a changing wallpaper process for a friend over MSN who's stuck with Windows 7 Starter and cannot change his wallpaper. Unfortunately, this program didn't work so we found someone elses whos did :D

Now that I've had my fun with this program, I went and un-installed it but now in thumbnail view, all my folders have this green transparent look which doesn't match my default 7 theme. I even re-installed the MyColors and clicked Windows 7 Aero, and folders remain green (not in list view though).

I'm going to uninstall MyColors again and install TuneUp Utilities and re-build my icon cache and pray it fixes the problem. Meanwhile, does anyone know of a permanent fix?

Update: Wow, didn't work, still have friggen ugly green folders that don't match my other icons:

See, list view looks fine:

Do you have Icon Packager? I think you might be stuck with those folders without Icon Packager to change them back.

I had a problem with my windows icons when I tried iconpackager. I could not get iconpackager to restore ALL the default icons as it had over-written at least one. I did everything I could to restore them i.e. rebuilding windows icon cache. The only solution for me was to copy imageres.dll from my untouched laptop, renamed the imageres.dll on my desktop to imageresOLD.dll (just in case it didn't work) and pasted the new copy in there and rebooted. This fixed it for me and now my icons are all back to the windows 7 default. The path on windows 7 is C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll

When this happens, it can sometimes be tricky to resolve. If you find that you are unable to restore your icons using the built in icon rebuild in MyColors, or the built in repair tools in Icon Packager, send us an email at [email protected] and we'll be happy to work with you on resolving the problem.

Can you please upload imageres.dll, I asked 3 of my friends on MSN with Windows 7 and they never responded, and I Googled for a good half-hour, dodging those bots/viruses everywhere when you search for a .dll.

Edit: Finally after more friends came online, the 7th or 8th one responded and he's transferring me the 20MB file now. Gonna take a few mins but I hope this fixes it.

Update: I replace the .dll, rebooted and used MyColors and re-applied Windows 7 Aero and it seemed to solve it for the most part. I am now CTRL+A/clicking some folders that remain green and hitting F5 which seems to be doing the trick.

One small problem, about 3 or 4 folders I manually changed the icon but I no longer get the seethrough look:

I checked to see my transparent ones, and they are pointing to this icon set:

But if I try to apply the above image on one of my 'corrupted' icon in the first image, it turns to:
