i cant remember i put my fix in this thread.  i simply copied one of the other sounds over the less than tasteful sound.  took all of 2 seconds.

i guarantee these things are not happening at my child's school.

heh, and akkans were cruise ships, and donovs were large freighters (prolly from when phase drives were expencive and large and not cost effective to fit on the small trade ships we have today.)

I would like to know what they removed... I mean really... it cant be that bad... I mean... the game engine cant handle violent war crimes or alien sex scenes... (although... cut scenes for a campain....)

Heh. My brother and I don't talk too much about this game to our parents. We're plenty old enough, but just look at the title of the game. And with the Advent being an obvius parody on organized religion, my parents would appreciate it less, not mentioning the obvious technologies like "divination". My Dad was even offended by the evil-sounding Vasari voices, so I turned them off temporarily, until I realized how much of a disadvantage it was. And yeah, I was recently teaching my 13-year old sister how to play SoaSe, as the TEC. I was gonna have her build a Marza as her second cap, but then I thought better of it and had her build a Kol. 

Personally, I'm glad it's a Teen rated. I couldn't get an M rated game in the house, and at 19 years old, they barely let me play teen-rated.

But yeah, I always play with headphones now.

It really makes me feel lucky to have such cool parents lol.

I sat down and watched saving private ryan at 14. Team america at 13-14 and i seem to have turned out ok (both with dad). Of course i have seen a load of other movies, there just two of the more vilolent/naughty movies that came to mind lol.

I suppose he didnt know what Team America would be like but he had seen Saving Private Ryan before.

personally, I don't particularly like the Marza voice clip. It's okay, as it doesn't seem to pop up that OFTEN, but for my mods, it'll probably be replaced by something Marza-esque (Audacity rules!), but no curses. Not particularly into it.

Stuff is going on at my school. I live in Gulfport, Mississippi, USA (the place noone has ever heard of), and I am HOMESCHOOLED .

No one where I live is home schooled (except for some really rich guy who lives in a remake of freaking Montechello), but there's a bunch of private schools, so we have tons of people to laugh at, becuase we beat the crap out of all the other schools in the state. ( in marching band, chorus, orchestra, all- county, region and state members, track, soccer, and volleyball (of course, our football team sucks really bad)) It also makes us happy to come up with wierd names for the other schools, like Fort Dork, Scummerville, West Ashley Pussies (as in cats you pervs ). I mean, what can you really do with Wando, especially after we dominate you? The worst you can do is ask us to do a rain dance, which we do frequently.

Yeah i am talking about a public school but really. Once those hormones kick in privat school or not there will be much high then teen rated stuff going on.

my best mate was homeschooled because his mum didnt want him being influenced by the other, 'evil' kids...

a few years ago i had to stop him stealing 2 cases of beer from some guys car at a camp we were at...

his mum then came to me and apologised for thinking i was the bad influence =P

ive got nothing against homeschooled people (like i said, best mate and everything...) just always thought it was funny to be homeschooled to be protected from bad influences, and ending up being a bad influence yourself =P

i watched hercules again a little while ago, i was rolling on the couch laughing 1. because the stuff was funny, and 2. i realised how much iv egrown up since i first watched it and how i so totally missed all the inuendo the first time around =P

but honestly, with the swearing? look, im not sure about the US, but in Australia there is a line of clothes shops called FCUK. obviously its a misnomer for FUCK, but no-one cares, they think its clever and laugh and move on.

you know a movie i love? Van Helsing. The monk in the movie was talking about the stuff he can do because he's only a friar and what not and not actually a priest or whatever, and he quite gleefully says, i can do all sorts of things, even swear. Dammit.

and i laughed because back then, that was a swear word. it had all sorts of religious meanings and what not, and it was pretty bad. nowadays, people dont care! ive heard teachers and even religious leaders use the word. in another 200-500 years, fuck wont be a problem either.

With all of the religious conflict and everything...God will probably in 200-500 (if we'ere still around) be a curse word....or Jesus or something else Biblical and not just with Christianity.  I use God all the time and I'm atheist lol...like OMG!!
