Fences not running after update to 0.96.1405

Hello,

I am having troubles with Fences after updating to 0.96[b].016 this morning. The Right click-drag is creating a selection rectangle but once I release the RMB, I get the normal contextual menu of the desktop. The "Fences" specific entries in the contextual menu of the shortcuts (Exclude from quick hide...) are not present and double-clicking on the desktop is not working.

It's as if Fences was not running. I run the Fences control panel with the Fences shortcut on the desktop, made an auto-layout: Fences reported 6 fences created but nothing on the desktop.

I tried rebooting, uninstall-reinstall, no joy. Vista SP1 x64, debug log on its way.
