BUSH has TOTAL responsibility

A thought hit me as I contemplated suicide watching the elections. bush has never vetoed a single bill in his presidency. He has, except for a short period when his extremism scared moderate Jeffries to the Democrats side, had republican control of congress and the senate. It is likely that the republicans will hold control during his second term. Therefore it can be said by any logical person that bush has TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY for everything under his control from 2000-2008. Be it good or bad he CANNOT blame Bill Clinton or any Democrat Senator or Congressman. The economy, jobs, homeland security, environment, healthcare, education, War on terrorism (which is different from the war on terror), our standing in the world, etc, will all be completely his credit or his failure when we reach 2008. So if our economy is stale, our jobs average, our environment suffering, our children sick and uneducated, and our homeland hit by terrorists, and the world hating us, then I assume there can be NO EXCUSES from the president or his supporters.

Right now the progressives reading this are laughing. They know the future is bleak and they know that someway, somehow, it will be Clinton's fault. I'm not really that naive.

No replies to this? I think the bush supporters may know that this is true and don't want to acknowledge it. They want to reserve the right to blame Bill Clinton for any problems that arise in the second term.

What a total crock! There has been stuff that went down before GW took office, how do blame that on Bush. Clinton left the economy in a mess. Bush has turned it around. Are you going to give Bush credit for that?

Nope, Alan Greenspan gets the credit. All hail the master.

(I also give credit to Greenspan for the good economics during Clinton)

THANK YOU - I just won a bet with my wife. You hereby reserve the right to blame Clinton for any of bushes failings. Maybe we should consider this a pre-emptive strike against negative results.

Also - if this is an economy turned around, I would hate to see your version of an economic failure.

How about this - You admit that we are starting at ground zero right now - and if the economy is going well in four years then bush did well but if the economy is still sputtering then it is completely bush's fault and not Clinton's. Will you at least agree to that?

I blame Caligula Caesar...because he has been ruining our economy for close to 2,000 years now.

Clinton and Bush have little to no control over the economy and what control they do have take close to 4-5 years to take effect...hmm I wonder....if a plan enacted under George HW Bush took 4-5 years to take effect...hmm I wonder....if a plan enacted under William J. Clinton took 4-5 years to take effect...hmm I wonder...oh well I will figure it out sometime...just not right now...

Economy Plinko!!

No blame Jackson. He killed the Bank of the United States and Caused the Panic of 1837.

Or Buchanan he left the civil torn US for Good Ole Abe .

I would hate to see yours! Prime interest rates are way down, home ownership is UP, stockmarket is UP,Gross National Product is UP! I mean what do we have to do whackyou over the head with a stick to get you to see it? And BTW you should give the money BACK to your wife. I never said Bush has done no wrong or will do no wrong. But the first thing a liberal or a democrat wants to do is blame Bush for EVERYTHING.

The bet I won is that you would blame Clinton. Here is the credit I will give bush. His tax cuts worked exactly as the experts suggested. They gave a couple month temporary boost to the economy which was good but the price tag my children have to pay back is trillions which is VERY BAD.

So let me see if I understand what you are saying: Presidents don't control the economy, but if they do, only Republicans can get credit. I'm willing to bet that your knowledge of macro economics does not qualify you to make the statement about 4-5 years.

Excuse me but since when is Bill Clinton a Republican? He gave equal time to both sides of the fence. But in your anger over Tuesday's loss you didn't see it.
