Obama moved very quickly to placate his kook base by shutting down Gitmo within a year. So let it be written, so let it be done! What I'd like to know is this, if we're shutting down Gitmo, then where on earth will we put the mastermind of 911, the Waldorf Astoria? Why on earth is our Government in such a rush to change just about the only thing that Bush/Cheney got right? The results cannot be disputed. There has not been one single attack on American soil since 911.

A guy was put in Guantanamo for 7 years without a trial.  He was then released.  I hope he sues our butts off.

Why aren't we trying them in a legal military court and sentence them according to our laws?

what is your problem in that? ....

Personally, i have no problem even if we shot-dead all of them ... terrorists or not .... much better than this limbo situation and embarrassingly illegal prison ....

why are you expecting doom from a decision to make-up our mind ... either they are guilty or not .... let's find out ... what is sooo bad about that?.... even if we just have doubt about their intentions we sure can find a legal way for improsining them ... why keep this thing hanging like an albatross around out neck?
