How long will Stardock servers will be out of correct working ?

We're looking into it right now.

The server techs are working on fixing this as I type.

Working as fast as our little hoofies will go.

They are doing their best - looking at the rest do all the work

Not really, AL...the guy in the hole is the taxpayer.

That's road workers everywhere, not just the US.

Besides.....watching is an important component of all roadworks.....

I hate to tell you Jafo but ya got the wrong country.  Thats Germany where ya have 1 working and 5 watching.  Used to amaze me when I was stationed there.

Yup...putting slots in coffins to slip the 1040's in.

Not just roadwork, Jafo...in the US there are windows cut at various heights in fences around lots where buildings are going up so folks can watch.

Kibbitzing is world wide...nothing more fascinating that watching construction of a skyscraper, imo. Not better than beer and pizza, though. If you offered those, the 5 guys would disappear (as well as the guy working) and NOTHING would ever get done.

There must be lotsa bars and Pizzarias in Washington.

Same here in Oz.  It's like the Oz road worker whose working life had come to an end.... instead of a gold watch he got a golden shovel... so he had something to lean on in retirement.

Which reminds me... of the 6 council roadworkers here in Goodna.  They were sent out to fix a large pothole in a major thoroughfare but didn't have enough material to fill it, so one of them dug it up and put it on the back of a truck to fix the problem that way.  All was going well until they were pulling away from a red light, and the pothole rolled off the back of the truck and damaged the bonnet of the car behind them.

Naturally, the driver sued the council for negligence...and won. However, the council budget didn't allow for a pothole repair AND a damages bill - or the subsequent trauma and stress/loss of income compensation package the court also awarded, so the pothole was loaded on another truck and returned to its original location and has remained there ever since.  Well that's the council's story and they're sticking to it. 

That was 15 years ago... so if you have a pothole in your area that's been there for an eternity, you'll now know why.  The authority responsible for it has heard about this case and is afraid of a similar accident and getting sued.

Wrong. Here they start work about 9:30 ish. After ten minutes setting up, putting up traffic cones to delay and inconvenience drivers as much as possible, they go for a break. They return about 4 ish to put up traffic lights for the night, of which only one of the pair work causing as much confusion as possible.

Here  they get €60,000 per annum for watching, they do howewver do lots of weekend nixers for folk willing to pay for driveway tarmac, landscaping etc - government and/or council officials would never defraud their own would they? Then be off sick or with pulled muscles half the remaining time.
