I think now is as good a time as ever to offer my retirment to the entire JoeUser community. It has been some fun, and I have somewhat enjoyed discussing things with everyone, and certainly have enjoyed discussing with some people. I think it is time that I leave, at least for now. I hope that my posts had some effect on somone, and hope that some people, even those that disagree with my posts, enjoyed them. I know I have recieved a lot of criticism for my last post, and I apoligize if it offended anyone. I think America will survive, and leave with this:

**Please note that the reason I am retiring from blogging... did I say resignation I meant Retirment... I should change that.. anyways.. is because I no longer have time to blog as often as I would like to and have in the past.

I didn't know you that well but I saw (and read) some of your other posts on here. Maybe I'm just a little biased being a Lib but I think it's sad you've decided to leave. Whatever the case, you have your own reasons so I won't try to convince you otherwise. Have a great life and take care of yourself.

i just found this.  although i was sorta out of the loop for much of the last two months and am just now catching up, what ive seen of your recent input seemed very worthwhile.  altho im sure you have your reasons for retiring and i respect them, id much prefer to see more of you than less.

Sandy, it is annoying that every time a left leaning blogger starts to cop a bit from the other users, that they disappear. You are one of five bloggers I have put on my links list, only to see them quit within a fortnight. Joeuser is a right wing dominated community, and I'm sure you must have realised this when you came here.

IMO, the Right has so much hold of Australia and the US because they have hold of talkback radio. Blogging is the new talkback, and we have the power to be a part of it this time. Please stay.

Who cares if people flame you? It usually makes them look silly and it opens our world up to more debate, giving us the chance to make our case. Do you really want to be like Bush and simply not engage in press conferences because you're scared that you can't make your case? I predict the Republicans will follow John Howard's lead and only have one debate at the next US election. This is a sad thing for democracy, in which many opinions must be given a voice. This includes your voice Sandy. Take a break, that is understandable. But don't just cop out on me.

I have come back, after a month Hiatus, for some "when I have time, every now and then articles". I must admit I left because I was spending too much time with this, and I didn't know if i would be back, but I think that it is important to speak out every now and then and after reading of the importance of blogging recently (it was the most looked up word this year), I decided I could take the time for oh, say, once a week articles. So thanks everyone.

Oh and Bill: I live 30 minutes from Canada, but I think I'll stay here because, despite the fact that we are heading in the wrong direction, and we need major help, I love american and I still think it's the best country in the world.
