Hey people, time to get your cyber hands a little dirty!

Everyone likes to imagine their dream starship, whether so you an play with it on galciv2 or not it's always something we sci-fi fans love to think about. Well now's your time to share.

It doesn't matter if you can not draw for nutts! Just pour your heart and soul into a drawing or picture or model of your dream ship or ships. Let go and have fun, use any program you like. You can even just describe it to the rest of us if you like through text. For those of you with a more creative swing you can even give us the full cinemas experience as you tour us around you ship on a MPEG, AVI, or whatever file.

Just go nutts with it people, lets get Creating!

I keep mixing up the names of the ships. The Daniel Jackson is the class i meant.

Here is a pic of an alien Carrier demonstrating it's AA capabilities. I uploaded this on a dif thread so sorry for any repeat.  It's made in Maya since I'm finally better with Maya.

Thoughts? Good? Bad? Awesome? ;)

I thinks it great! The lighting on the ship is perfect too, great work Phalnax.

Haha thanks, considering its a carrier with AA and two ship to ship rocket launchers on the top.  The lighting is the Glow Effect in Maya with makes everything glow the color of the object, it's one of my favs :)

 

PS: I'm working on another now, but if it comes out great I may not upload it due to fear of copying.  And I'm removing my picture from a few posts ago, sorry :)

Personally while being a major Star Wars fan i've always like the Macross Line of ships. So either the SDF-1 Macross or the newer model Macross Quarter, 'beam cannon not working right?, no problem just go fist cufts with your battleship'

I have a few designs of my own but they where all rendered in K'nex so their a bit hard to show off.

This one is a kind of patrol and cargo frigate with some fighting ability, but not designed for battles as it was before the war. These are actually from a partially formed custom "universe", but I thought I'd share them. Nowhere near done on either, but I probably never will be...

 

Gladius-Class destroyer. It is made for rapid, powerful maneuvering to bring its powerful forward arsenal to bear.

-1 medium/large frictionless railgun

-4 conventional turrets (Heavy Flechette or AP Sabot ammo)

-2 medium Particle Accelerator Weapons

-16 point defense lasers (not yet modelled)

Actually IIRC the Imperium Class Ultra Star Destroyer would have been built for extra galactic conquest. Basicly this thing has the power of the Death Star, could carry a fleet of warships and it also has a fleet of Word Devastators that could harvest resources, also the crew were supposed to be immortal, so I wouldn't say it's useless.

My favorite ship (starfighter) has to be the AS-5 Proteus.  As far as I know it wasn't in any TV/Movie/Game.  I found the pictures one year while searching the net for fighter pictures to use in a "pen & paper" RPG.

I think the reason I like it most is because of it's multi-role usage.  It has on-the-fly flight configurations (modes) for space, planetary flight, and even underwater "flight"....

I've got a few of my own destroyer/battleship creations I'd love to post too, just need to reinstall 3D Studio Max to render em up.  *LOL*
