Angus1949

For those who care, I have changed my nickname to MrEd3.  Just needed a change and would rather have my own name used.  The 3 is because I'm an Esquire and the MrEd is for the old TV show.  My email remains the same for those who write to me.

Thanks, Ed

Hi there Mr ED looks like we live in the same part of the country... Tampabay

I could be wrong but I think it went something like this.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.

People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?

Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."

So do any of you remember Francis the talking mule? I was teased unmercifully about this when I was in grammer school! ( Frankie/short for Frances)

Francis was first talking... before Mister Ed the talking horse.
Francis the mule, was and is still a favorite comedy. The films were based on a popular book about a military man who meets a mule who can talk. Arthur Lubin, the producer, of the movies later went on to create the Mister Ed TV series. Francis was trained by Will Rogers and apprentice Les Hilton, Mister Ed's trainer. The same technical practice of teaching Francis when to move his mouth was later used on Mister Ed. Mules are very smart and will do what they are asked as long as you are kind and gentle with them.:meow: :moo:

Daah! X|  I hate you ALL.  Thanks for reminding me that I'm older than dirt!  Every day it's a new WTF when I notice something ELSE about how I'm turning into my mother.  Yesterday it was my hands.  Perfect manicure but then I noticed my skin has turned to crepe paper.  When did this happen?  And yeah, I remember Francis the Talking Mule....and Abbot and Costello, and Laurel and Hardy, and TV before color.  Time just flies when you're having fun, I guess.

I guess this will make me look stupid, but what is an Esquire
No stupid questions if you don't know right?  My grandfather was Ed Senior, my dad was Ed Jr. and I'm Ed the third or Esquire.  It comes from the middle ages and the feudal system.  An esquire was a squire to a knight.

OK so how's the new avatar Wiz?

Hey that's a quarter horse.
