Show off your ship designs 2009

Show off your ship designs 2009

All the ship designs you can think of!

In 2007 i created 2 fleets after getting inspired by too many ship designers to list them all here) - one for the Terrans and one for the Altarians.

In 2008 i followed the Ship Design Thread again with great interest, but was not able to participate because of r/l.

Now a new year has started. I think it's time to start a new thread where this year you and i all can show the ship designs we created.

It doesn't matter if they were done with Dread Lords, Dark Avatar or even with Twilight of the Arnor. Just show what you think you like to show.

While my builds are not of this level, I have recently built a new PC, and I would like to move my games AND ship designs over to the new PC.  Where are they stored in the install directory?

At my PC they're stored in C:\Documents and Settings\"User"\My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\shiptemplates

I like your style, migr8r.  You combined elements in ways I'd never thought of.

Thank you. All the amazing designs in this thread have been a huge source of inspiration. Many ideas came from ways I've seen others use or combine elements. I hope I've given you some good ideas. I know you gave me some. I'd love to see some more of your designs.

Wow all you guys have some creative talent. I try my best to make my ships looks as Star Trek"y" as possible. Does any one know if hull mod will work for DA? I do not have ToA as of yet.

On a ship building note though, do not know how to get screenies like you guys have. But I watched Wrath of Kahn a few days back (The best of all Star Trek Films) and decided that my "tiny" ship would be the Miranda Class (The Ship Kahn Hijacks "Reliant"). Anyways I was really just messing around to see how well I could do in making it look alike. I had most of it assembled then I decided to shift through all the companents and I saw one that caught my eye. I thought "hmmm, I wonder if that will work better than what I have now?" So I deleted the part I had and replaced with the part I found, made a few tweaks, and had a full fledge geekgasim. Of all the Star Trek ships I have tried to recreate I am most proud of this one simply because it looks so much like it, and it was by almost complete accident.

Anyways if anyone has any Star Trek Ships to show off (Federation) please do, as I still do not quite know how to build the Constitution class right. I have the Kelvin down pretty well. If anyone could point me to a site the has pictures of all the Federation class ships that would be a big help as well!

I know what you mean Dutchvn38417, I though some of my ships looked pretty good, until i came here and started looking.  I sat slack jawed looking at the Wing Commander ships, GRATS, those were incredible.

One I would love to do as well, just though of actually is a Nebulon-B orB2 Frigate from Starwars......those were always fun to try and outfly in Tie Fighter.

Migr8r, thanks for the info.

My first "serious" "aesthetic" ship, which I technically did make with my own mod,but could have been done just as easily without (the blue ball in front is a fake fleet warp bubble module):The thing isn't exactly "gameworthy" (no real modules on it) but man, does it look good.

I just have to say, MidnightRunner, that your designs are beyond exemplary. The front/rear view profiles of some of those Kilrathi fighters/cruisers are pretty much exactly as I remember them from WC2!

I know it's not 2009 anymore, but i wanted to add something here.

Most of Confed and Kilrathi designs were built using http://www.wcnews.com/ships/ as reference page. There are good 5-views of the ships available, although a bit small.

Best regards
