Not on American roads.  You'd be toast.  Can you imagine being sucked under a semi rig..............ouch.:waaaa:

I like the sport model better.

Yup, saw that before.  I like watching that show on BBC America, but then it is a 'mans' show.  :-"

I drove one for a while on the Isle of Man back in 1978, they were made in Peel IOM. That is where the TT races are held around the mountain circuit ringed around Mt. Snaefell, other motorists then just wanted to kill you by sandwiching you - acceleration takes infinity and it is a unstable tripod turning at 20mph. No real functioning brake either, it just rolls.

Motorbikes much better, you can avoid and get out of trouble from others.

Then I got a MGA. Bliss and fun.

Toast or maybe jelly , Ed...but you're right, I wouldn't even drive it around my small town...I'd have to be o_O

I think I missed the sport model!!! ;)

but then it is a 'mans' show.
     I like the BBC news sometimes better than ours....

Nice to know someone really drove one of those..no brake...ouch!!!   What is an MGA? ^_^

Yeah, or a very small tent on wheelsX| :D NOT for the claustrophobic let me tell ya*_*

I'd be like Marge Simpson on a plane in that thing.

'Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out'XD

MGA after the TC and TD but before the MGB and MGC before takeover, then closure, then re-opening by Asian owners.

Great cars to drive, wire wheels, open roads- open top, early Celica not too bad and early AC Cobra almost as good.

Triumph TRs up to the 5 series were good too, The Brits made the best sports cars ever, no wuckers.

Rapid acceleration due to the rust eaten floor for you to paddle like Fred Flintstone.

Hehe, I can see Mr Bean taking great delight in running that off the road and tipping it over.  :w00t:

Apart from beig claustrophobic and useless for large people, it'd be totally useless for a back seat romance, wouldn't it! ;P :-" :X

Oh, it has no back seat. ;)

Not if you're a Pigmy

Shoot, even a couple of pygmies would over-crowd that glorified sardine can...

Which reminds me of a time when  an old g/f and I were in her mini at the drive-in.. parked right next to another mini which ended up getting more attention than the movie.

Yeah, the couple inside decided to get down to the business - she, between the 2 front seats and resting her back on the rear seat, and he on top.. with his feet somehow placed in the glovebox type compartments on each door - when something went drastically wrong during the process and they started screaming for help.

Hehe, being his feet had become firmly wedged in the door compartments and nobody could open the doors for fear of breaking the guy's angles, etc, the fire service was called with the jaws of life to cut off the roof... in the panic they had become somewhat 'stuck' together so had to be winched out joined together and taken to hospital.

How embarrassing... bet they never got all romantic like that again in their 'new convertible'.  :w00t:

LOL last thing I remember at a drive-in, was sneaking a buddy of ours in, in the boot, then being chased all over the drive-in by the managerX|   who eventually caught us, and chucked us out:blush:

That was a film called 'Malcolm'....made in Melbourne.  There were three Honda Z's used....one 'complete'....one for interior shots...and one reworked with 2 motorscooters....yes...the two 'bits' really did go...no CGI back then...;)

[Mates of mine worked on the movie]...;)

It's possible (back seat and front seat) in a Citroen Visa:-

Fuzzy waves at his old friend Tricia :)

Awesome! I want one to throw in my truck as a spare tire!

And this place sells kits to make some other models...I'd love to have the FMR TG500 Replica kit.
