Bush hasn't won yet!

Even though it is likely that President Bush will take the Electoral vote tonight, whisperings amongst Democrats are encouraging contesting votes in Ohio, which could throw this election upside down.

Anyone else tired of this?

Bush has won. Kerry just can't face the truth yet. He would have to take ALL of the provisional ballots in Ohio in order to win. Good luck, Kerry....lol

The law in Ohio is that the election has to be within .25% to mandate a recount. If the provisional ballots fall the way the rest of the voting falls, there's no way it will be close enough, IMHO. If a disproportionally large number of provisional ballots fall toward the Dems, I think it will be of dubious merit and endanger the credibility of their argument.

CNN is calling Ohio a Green State(too close to call)..... but I think that going to court with a 3.5 million vote advantage for Bush would kill the Democratic party.... yes, its true that a similar popular vote margin in terms of percentages was present in the Hayes-Tilden race of 1876, which went to the popular vote loser, but that wasn't 3.5 million votes.... but rather around a quarter of a million votes.

Another consideration is that in Ohio it takes 11 days for them to clear away the provisional balloting. Does Kerry really wanna stall that concession speech for 11 days? Unless they know the ballot box was well stuffed for them, I don't think it is a gamble the Democrats want to take. Their whining hurt them in 2000, and it would be even worse now.

Scumbag-in-Chief Ted Kennedy is the wildcard here. If he's the weasel I believe him to be, there'll be no concession speech tonight or any time soon. He just can't stand rejection and has been Kerry's puppeteer all along. I'll sing his praises if he goes the statesman route, but I can't see his ego letting that happen.

Cheers,

I think it all depends on how the other states fall....

Bush is up by 130,000 votes in Ohio with only 156,000 left to report and he's up by more votes in New Mexico than is left to report. What is there to litigate? It's over. If Kerry doesn't concede... I'm willing to bet Terry McAuliffe is behind it I don't believe Kerry is that classless.
