MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (CNN) -- A state election board on Monday will announce Democrat Al Franken has defeated Republican incumbent Norm Coleman in Minnesota's U.S. Senate race, state officials told CNN Sunday.

my sentiments exactly upon learning the results of 2004's presidential election. ain't as if that winner wasn't already a known quantity.
I dont think America picked that one, just some crooks in Minnesota. But it does go to show that when they can, democrats steal - exactly what they falsely accuse republicans of doing. I think they call it a pre-emptive strike.
It's really no surprise, America voted for a President based on a catch-phrase, and now people voted in a second-rate comedian.
I just loved how vote " appered " in favor of this noob. Good god what is this country coming to?
That picture should be his official senate photo, and everyone that voted for him should be made to display it in bumper sticker form on their car.
Why not Al Franken, maybe Whoopi Goldberg could be his vice-president
First Jesse Ventura and now this.... the people of Minnesota have proven themselves to be so dysfunctional that they should be eliminated from voting in national elections.

that damn minnesota machine truly is a national scandal, ain't it? no wonder everyone thinks of the place as such a hotbed of wide-open crime and corruption.
why doesn't coleman quit screwing around and appeal directly to the us supreme court? sure, rehnquist is no longer there, but scalia and thomas have proven themselves last time they hadda chance to meddle in state election procedures.

barely read enough to have located the twin cities star-tribune's website at which one can scrutinize individual views of 6000+ actual contested ballots online including notations indicating why each was rejected and then spent a lil time there checkin em out for myself.
what you really meant was i don't listen enough...to dope-addled gasbag equivocating prevaricators like the one who fished you in by claiming the wall street journal reported franken stole the election even tho the wsj reported nothing of the sort.
