Upload Failure - Preview Image

Not uploading preview image of DX Theme...

Hey WC,

I recently tried to upload a theme, but it kept giving me error messages. It stated that the preview image was invalid, and I should check the file extension.

I'm using:
...upload2.aspx
Google Chrome
Paint.NET saved .JPG - '95' default quality
1280x800 resolution preview image

Any ideas what's wrong?

I had a similar problem not long ago, and I simply renamed the preview image, and then the upload worked, I have NO idea why lol, give it a shot hon, ya never know ;)

Edit: Not sure if it matters, but try .jpg as lower case?

I'm curious...what's your file size for the theme?

I am unable to upload anything over 28mb in size...it hangs up on uploading the picture. I tried both upload pages, 2 different PC's and 4 different browsers. I was able to upload 4 dreams that were below 29mb in size so I don't think it's my machines.

Google Chrome

I suggest you try IE7 or Firefox

Make sure you using Flash 9, and as Lantec said, try another browser as Google Chrome is not officially supported.

Tailsgirl - I will try that, because when uploading it changed the preview image name to a random code of numbers. It is in lower case, only caps'd for the post.

CarGuy1 - a DX theme can't be that big ;P   it's only 9mb or so.

Lantec - Chrome has uploaded all my previous themes, though only through '...upload.aspx'. I forgot to mention I tested on FF 3.0

ID - I will try Flash...if I am using Flash 10, do I just install 9 to downgrade?

Sin, yep it adds quite a few numbers onto the image name, so clear your cache as well, rename, then upload again :)

Hopefully, it will work ;

Same thing was happening to me. If I try to upload the 1600x1200 image I get an error code but it will take the 1280x1024 of the same image, Go figure! I tried with both IE7 and Firefox.:meow: :meow:

Oh yea! Thanks guys - after checking everything, IE7 worked where Chrome & FF didn't.
