DRM?

Hey guys, first post here. I just ordered the digital download pre order and am downloading the beta now.

I know that Stardock does not impliment SuckurROM, but what about download/activation limits? Am I allowed to download it as many times as I want, whenever I want, and wherever I want to like Steam? Is there a time limit for how long my download is available like EA download manager, or will I still be able to download it a year or two down the road?

Thank you. :)

To the best of my knowledge this title should be no different than any other SD title. :banhammer:

Oh yeah, welcome to the community. :andrew:

Well what is every other Stardock title like? This is my first purchase from them.

No download limit, no activation limit, no time until your download expires.

I'm not even sure you have to activate the games, I think the impulse engine handles that automatically. When I get a new comp, I download impulse, log in and press download on my old games bought through impulse. Download is reasonably fast (500kb/s) and it extracts and installs automatically. It couldn't be smoother.

one activation per Windows install, or something, and even then in some circumstances (IINM non-hardware change) keep the signature file and not re-activate.

there is an activation, but it's pretty tame.

basically, SD does online activation the way it's meant to be done; unobtrusively.

Activation limit is 5, But if you have reach this number, you can email support and they will reset it.

There is no practical fixed activation limit (we do watch for rapid activations in a short period). Not sure where you got that from.

Thank you kryo, just what I wanted to hear.

EDIT: BTW I'm loving Demigod so far. Great game. And that's coming from someone who usually only plays shooters and action games.
