Over the past couple of months, there has been quite a bit of speculation that Obama’s birth certificate holds a secret, one of which that he is not a natural born citizen therefore not eligible to be President of the United States.  Several petitions have been filed, and the SCOTUS has review and denied most that have come in.  I’m not really sure what to believe, as I have haven’t seen evidence either way to indicate whether Obama is or isn’t qualified to be President.

However, the thing that bothers me the most is Obama will not open the sealed document to put this matter to rest.  If he is about “change”, and so-called “open government” then he should have no problem releasing these documents and putting an end to the speculation.  But he doesn’t.

The Kenyan government has also put in place a gag order silencing Obama’s extended family from talking to the media about Obama.  Why?  Is it too much to ask for the American public to have the ability to ensure that the person who will run our country is completely eligible?

Is there anyone who objects to Obama having to show his eligibility to be President?

On the birth certificate released by the White House the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital".  But can this be when the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani CHildren's Hospital"  and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home" respectively? The name did not change to "Kapi'olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital" until 1978, when these two hospitals merged.   
 
 
How can this particular name of the hospital be on Obama's birth certificate dated 1961, if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

The article you link to says it was called "Kapi‘olani Maternity Home" before 1978 and "Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children" after the merger in 1978.

for all I know it was also called "Kapi'olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital" before the merger. In fact that name is closer to the pre-1978 name than the post-1978 name.

It’s the question that won’t go away – at least not permanently.

 

The last time the birth certificate issue was in the news was 04-27-11 after the release (again) of Obama’s “official” birth certificate which was flagged within hours by thousands of computer imaging experts as not only fraudulent but a poorly contrived and easily detected fraud. Three days later, Osama bin Laden was reported killed but Obama refused to release documented evidence to prove the claim. The birth certificate issue quickly disappeared from the news but not from the minds of many Americans. JC

You can probably get a copy of your BC on line (you have to give them the details - which I hope your parents told you).  I was unsure my step father adopted me (He said a lot of things and did very little) so was unsure if I was really who I thought I was!  But my uncle told me about getting a copy of the BC and sure enough, he had.  It did not cost much (about $30 if I remember correctly).

i was flat out astounded by two segments in which it was absolutely clear that sheriff joe--despite all of his hard-ass rantings--allowing if not encouraging the toughest or best organized (as in ganged up) inmates to maintain order in his facilities.

astounded not by novelty--for decades texas prisons were notorious for that same sort of abuse--but by the fact that he permitted it to be filmed and aired for a national audience.

Members of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse said in March that there was probable cause that Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April 2011 was a computer-generated forgery. Now, Arpaio says investigators are positive it's fraudulent.

Mike Zullo, the posse's chief investigator, said numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that those parts weren't filled out, yet those sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study were completed. Zullo said investigators previously didn't know the meaning of codes but they were explained by a 95-year-old former state worker who signed the president's birth certificate. Zullo said a writer who published a book about Obama's birth certificate and was aiding investigators let them listen in on an interview he conducted of the former state worker.

The Obama campaign declined to comment on Arpaio's allegations.

 

 

 

The Arizona Democratic Party said in a statement that Arpaio's investigation is intended to draw attention away from problems within his own agency, such as hundreds of sex-crime cases that the sheriff's office failed to adequately investigate over a three-year period.

So-called "birthers" maintain Obama is ineligible to be president because, they contend, he was born in Kenya.

Hawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama's citizenship, and state officials did again Tuesday. "President Obama was born in Honolulu and his birth certificate is valid," Joshua A. Wisch, a special assistant to Hawaii's attorney general, said in a statement. "Regarding the latest allegations from a sheriff in Arizona, they are untrue, misinformed, and misconstrue Hawaii law." Wisch also said that "not only are Hawaii's vital records some of the best managed, but they also have some of the strongest restrictions on access to prevent identity theft and fraud."

Obama released a copy of his long-form birth certificate in an attempt to quell citizenship questions. Courts have rebuffed lawsuits over the issue.

In a news conference earlier this week, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County (Arizona) said he believes it is time for a higher authority, namely Congress, to look at the evidence gathered by a group known as the Cold Case Posse. The investigative team contends that Obama's long-form Hawaiian birth certificate is a computer-generated forgery.

Jospeh ArpaioArpaio said he wants the American people to know the truth. "We're talking about national security," he explained. "We're talking immigration. We're not accusing the president of any crime. We are strictly investigating a possible government forged document. And that's the way we're still going with this. We're talking about a document."

Carl Gallups is a former law enforcement officer with the Florida Department of Corrections, who is considered an expert on the Obama birth certificate controversy. He believes the Cold Case Posse has produced solid evidence.

"If this Arpaio investigation is 100-percent accurate -- and I believe it is -- then this is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated upon the American people, and perhaps one of the biggest frauds in world history," Gallups tells OneNewsNow.

Gallups says if the Cold Case Posse is right, then the Constitution must be upheld. "If he is an illegal alien, an illegal citizen, an illegal holder of the office, then we must have him removed -- legally, of course," he declares. "But he must be removed from office."

Gallups agrees with Arpaio that Congress must investigate this issue.

If Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his Cold Case Posse are right about Obama's birth certificate, then the president has perpetrated the most elaborate hoax in U.S. history. Photo Credit:APAmerica may be facing a constitutional crisis. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., has made a startling declaration: President Obama’s birth certificate is fraudulent. If true — and I stress if — then this scandal dwarfs Watergate. In fact, it would be the greatest political scandal in U.S. history.

Recently, Sheriff Arpaio held a news conference. He said that his team of independent investigators — composed of former law enforcement officials and reporters — have for months meticulously examined the computer-generated birth certificate that Mr. Obama revealed to the public in April 2011. Their stunning conclusion: The document is a forgery. His chief investigator, Mike Zullo, says that the document is full of errors and omissions. In particular, Mr. Zullo claims that numeric sections are not filled out that otherwise would have been in birth certificates from Hawaii during that time. But other sections, such as those dealing with Mr. Obama’s race and his father’s work and field of study, are completed. Hence, Sheriff Arpaio’s investigative posse definitively believes the birth certificate is not authentic, but was manufactured to provide Mr. Obama with a veneer of constitutional legitimacy.

Sheriff Arpaio’s findings threaten to plunge America into an unprecedented crisis. For if — and again, I emphasize if — he is correct, then Mr. Obama has perpetrated the most elaborate hoax in U.S. history. A fraudulent birth certificate would mean that Mr. Obama is ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief. His presidency would therefore be legally and constitutionally illegitimate.

The consequences would shake the country to its very foundations. It would mean that he should be immediately removed from office — impeached. Moreover, every law and executive order passed under his administration — Obamacare, the economic stimulus, the Dodd-Frank financial reform, the government takeover of General Motors and Chrysler, the granting of amnesty to nearly one million illegal immigrants, the National Defense Reauthorization Act, the drone assassination list — would be null and void. The logic is inexorable: Should the president’s legal authority be deemed invalid, then everything resulting from it is also baseless. The Obama presidency would be overturned. Mr. Obama himself would be facing criminal charges — and possible jail time — for committing fraud.

Yet, the birth certificate issue would repeal more than the Obama administration. It would bring down the entire liberal regime. The ruling elites — the establishment media, the Hollywood left, the federal bureaucracy, the myriad regulatory agencies, the public sector unions, big banks and the financial sector — have refused to seriously examine Mr. Obama’s background. In fact, they have repeatedly propped him up. He defends the liberal corporatist status quo, constantly expanding government power. This is why they are determined to destroy anyone who seriously challenges Mr. Obama’s constitutional authority. To simply inquire into the status of his birth risks being called a “birther” — a kook and conspiracy theorist akin to Holocaust deniers. Having coddled and protected him, the ruling class could not survive if Mr. Obama was exposed as a slick con man. Their moral and intellectual legitimacy would be discredited as well.

The topic has become toxic. Even Fox News refuses to touch it. Many leading conservative radio talk-show hosts ignore it. The editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal mock so-called “birthers.” Meanwhile, the liberal media continues to vilify Sheriff Arpaio. He is being accused of racial profiling, committing civil rights abuses and having failed to effectively prosecute sex crimes (but wheres the evidence?). They allege he is waging a baseless, personal vendetta against Mr. Obama. Liberals are portraying him as a Southern stereotype: a racist, out-of-control sheriff determined to bring down a black president. (But beyond these allegations, accusations, portrayals, speculations, and perhaps lies - where is the evidence of proof?)

The very opposite, however, is the case. It was the citizens of Maricopa County who through a petition asked Sheriff Arpaio to investigate Mr. Obama’s birth certificate. The sheriff is not the only one with doubts. Many question the president’s status as a natural-born citizen.

  • Mr. Obama’s grandmother says he was born in Kenya. This is echoed by Obama relatives.
  • Members of the Kenyan parliament have repeatedly claimed Mr. Obama as their native son.
  • The Kenyan media asserts he was born in Kenya.
  • For nearly 15 years, Mr. Obama’s literary agent produced a pamphlet describing him as being “Kenyan born.”
  • In his 2004 race for the U.S. Senate, wire stories — including by the Associated Press — frequently referred to Mr. Obama’s place of birth as Kenya.
  • As late as 2009, the Kenyan government sought to build an official monument commemorating the site of Mr. Obama’s birth (until the State Department ordered the project be shuttered).

The president is a brazen opportunist; a political hustler who mastered his craft on the streets of Chicago. When it suited his interests to come across as a cosmopolitan, multicultural liberal, Mr. Obama pushed a Kenyan persona. When it was no longer politically expedient, he abandoned it. Yet, Mr. Obama cannot escape a fundamental dilemma: He either lied then or he is lying now. He was either born in Kenya (as he claimed during the 1990s and part of the 2000s) or he wasn’t (as he has insisted since 2007). Both cannot be true.

At best, Mr. Obama is a shameless liar. At worst, he is a foreign usurper.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  I can't believe so many of you people still believe this Birther crap.  The good thing about this argument is that it's so easily refuted that you know there's no point in debating it anymore.  Anyone who actually believes this story is plainly living in a little world of their own construction, and since there's nothing that will prove it to them short of giving them a time machine, then why bother?  In fact I'd bet most of 'em, if you did give them that time machine, and they went back and forth through time tearing holes the size of stadiums in our time/space continuum, but found out in the end that he was really a citizen all along...they'd smash up that lying machine and burn the little bits right damn quick buddy!  Can't have reality get in the way of what their gut tells them is the truth!

Not really. Put the question of his birth place together with other "alleged" charges against him and any reasonable person will wonder. 

The issue has not been legitimately resolved because Obama was never seriously vetted, not by the media and not investigated by Congress.
