BoogieBac, wherefore art thou?

Inquiring minds want to know

Scott (aka BoogieBac)-

As the Executive Producer of Elemental, we haven't heard too much from you.  How is life treating you in your new role of SD employee wrangler?

It's been almost a month and a half since the official announcement, and so far all the Dev Journals have been from Brad.  Since you're not a dev (you're the producer) I suppose that makes sense, but it would be interesting to hear how things are going for you and such if you have time.

Anyway, hope your new role is going well.  And if you want to share some interesting Elemental news while you're updating, I don't think anyone would object.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I'm concerned as well. It has been a couple weeks since our last email. I wondered if trolls carried him off.

Who?

O:)

I saw him post somewhere somewhat recently, though I don't remember where.

I don't think trolls could have done it.   Boogiebac would have beaten them up for sure!

I can hope he's off in a corner messing with Holiday Knights.  ;)

(And no, I won't let it die)

Yeah buddy!

I checked.

No trolls involved.

Well there are many threads that have stalled out due to lack of developer input to date, so I hope he gets back soon and starts to post up a storm so the community momentum can stay at its current tempo.

haha  You guys are too funny ;)  Needless to say it's been a busy month and a half, and with various problems (hard-drives burning out, misc. weird bugs) messing up our December milestone, I've simply been passing info on to Brad to relay on to you chaps.

I REALLY hope to have some more info early-January, but at this point we're just trying to get things as stable/fun/playable as we can.

Merry Christmas, everyone!  ;)

He speaks!  Glad to hear you are alive despite the hard drive crashing and bugs...umm...thrashing?

Can I also say I really like your Developer logo below your picture?

Well, Merry Christmas, Boogie!  I'll pray for safe hard drives and a big old can of RAID.

HA HA HA HA!  I get it.   a can....  of raid!    hard drives... .   raid....   get it?   *dies*   (I know it was about the bugs)

but yeah, seriously.  We all pray for smooth milestone to milestone movement by the entire team.    And boo to the hard drives.

Double boo to the hard drives! I recently lost one just 1 day after its RMA return limit.

I swear, those things are hardcoded to crack.

I've always had long lasting stability and performance with the Seagate harddrives.

Well January is almost over and still no sign of him... It is about time to send out the search parties.

Well, we should give him 'least a month.   He could have just gone on a very nice holiday.   Cross country trip, then a cruise... something that lasts more than 1 week.    Certainly if he's not been sighted by Febuary though, we need the bloodhounds.    Just in case, does anybody have any of his personal possessions that might be usable to track his sent?

Actually, BoogieBac responded to something recently. Within the last week or two. I'm sure of it, but I don't remember where.

Yeah, that wasn't fun at all.  Luckily I was able to recover everything I need.  Now my machine is making backups every night.  :)

Now my machine is making backups every night.

I currently have 1.5 TB of space in my computer.  I'm tempted to actually start making back-up partitions (even though I don't know what would be worth backing-up like that)
