Demigod Collector's Edition goodies

Demigod Collector's Edition goodies

My cell phone's camera is pretty lame but here's the first go around with the collectable Rook miniature that comes with the Collector's Edition of Demigod.  Now, before anyone asks, anyone who purchases the digital version of the Collector's Edition can get the boxed edition sent to them for the $5 difference and shipping and handling but wait until we put up a page for it which won't be until March so don't worry.

The Collector's Edition will also have a MyColors theme for Demigod to make your XP/Vista/7 desktop feel like the game UI. It's very slick.  I'm not sure what else is coming with the Collector's Edition yet so stay tuned.

lol, but its cool stuff you get to show off to all of your lame friends who didn't think demigod was worth investing money into right away.

Yay for figurines! I am also wondering as to whether they are going to stay colourless so that we can paint them, or if they are going to get all of the Rook's pretty painting. My guess would be the latter, but who knows!

I hope they get painted :P

One question:
I preordered the digital version of game via Impulse, am i able to upgrade that to a boxed copy of the CE? and how much will it cost for postage to the UK?

You'll be able to upgrade once the game is out. The shipping will probably depend on the weight of the box, but it will be pricy over the pond. I think Sins was $20 US to ship over? Memory is a little fuzzy there.

I've got a question too.  I'm thinking about preordering, especially with this collector's edition.  When I add the boxed version to my cart, it says it costs 49.99.  All good there.  But then it says that the subtotal is 59.99.  What's with the extra 10 dollars?  It's not shipping, cause shipping is never included in the subtotal.  If I add shipping, it will probably come out to around 65 to 70 dollars!  Something is wrong here.  Can someone explain what it is?

You should probably toss that question to [email protected] .. probably get you an official response sooner :)

The extra $10 is shipping and handling. Here is a part of my email about my total i got from Stardock.

Order Summary:
Items: $49.95
Shipping & Handling: $10.00
Discounts: $0.00
Total Before Tax: $59.95
Tax: $0.00

Oh, ok.  Its just that very seldom is the shipping included in the subtotal.

Hahah yeah it is, but hey aleast it isn't some random $10 charge.

Thinking back on it, i remember it ending up being 59.95 and I don't think I ever figured out what it was. Or maybe I did and forgot. Either way, thanks!

My mind just went 'rook figurine' -> 'big daddy figurine' -> 'big daddy mod for Demigod!'

Nice thought process there. The Big Daddy could go well as an Assassin (Bouncer) or a General (Rosie with an army of Little Sisters).

Will the miniature be pre-painted? And what is it made out of?

I want music.   If there is music worth having, I want it!   Maybe include a soundtrack?  (call me greedy, but I like things that I will use, and I would listen a bonus songmost likely if it were given.)

A soundtrack is going to be part of the pre-order deal, as it was with Sins Of A Solar Empire. I hope to hear more of the doom-laden themes typified by the scale & scope of the supporting fiction; I admit given the trend with some recent games (Red Alert 3, Sacred 2) I am worried a bit that Demigod might drift a little into 'band' music, although I have as yet seen/heard nothing to indicate my concern is valid beyond other games` trending.

I like the theme tagged to Ereban when you start a map - I *think* its tagged to Ereban, anyway. Very ghoulish sounding.

I would like to hear each Demigod receive their own trademark theme, to play as you read their backgrounds and behold their visages in the character select screen. But thats something for another thread perhaps. A figurine of The Oak, The Unclean Beast, and The Torch Bearer would be cool too. One of Lord Ereban could be good, but would not be acceptable unless he floated.

(grin impossibly)

Hi,

I am living in singapore and have some questions that is bothering me.

1) Is the boxed copy that we order from Stardock store the CE?

2) Does Stardock ship directly to singapore or do i need to have it shipped to me by a third party

Thanks for the reply. Really hyped about the game

Yes to both

I don't know how it can be yes to both, the second question was an either...or

Can i have a definate answer from the MODS or the devs. Cause i may have a few other friends who may want to purchase the game online and shipped to singapore. I have also submitted a ticket [Ticket ID: BKM-108301] to Stardock sales and still awating a reply. Thank you

They will ship it :P It'll be pricier to get it shipped overseas, though.

I'm looking forward to the CE - I love getting cool little goodies, not just some bland "making of" DVD.

To add onto that, what about a Bowser leading an army of koopas or gombas or any other famous video game characters. Will the game have modding capabilities to support that? It would be awesome to see stuff like that.

I suspect it will be possible, but modelling and animating a new character is a process which requires a lot of time and skill.
