How does the Metaverse work?

My first time using the metaverse so I need some advice.

I'm new to the metaverse. I have been playing for 6 months now with the oldest version of galciv2 and since i'm getting a new copy I thought I wise to get aquatinted with the metaverse. The forums I can navigate well but i'm having difficulty understanding the metaverse and how the scoring works. Can someone explain to me;

The legend section.

The empire's perpouse and joining one.

Metaverse characters.

 

Pretty much everything I have a basic understanding of. Also if you have any tips to give me they would be much appreciated as well.

1: The legend section tells what different medals mean.

2: An empire is like a group that contains verious characters. Now as for joining one, well managing one is hard which I know for a fact becuase I have my own, so it's best to join one if you don't want to do a lot of hard work.

3: Characters are like avatars that you chosse to play MV games as. Now you must be registered to make character.

lol, ok I'll keep you in mind when I get around to registering my new copy of galciv2.

Could you perhaps tell me how registration works? is there a special place i should go before making a character with the serial number? or will it all be on the manuel when I receive it?

so the empires add up your scores. like a combine effort. thanx for your input. Oh by the way, Nice avatar, is it from spore? my friend plays that a lot, an obsessed fan. thanx for your help.

Did you type in the serial number when you installed the game? Also I think you need Impulse to register, it used to be SDC.

Also did you order Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor too? There a whole lot better especialy TA.

I wouldn't miss getting TA or DA if I got the chance so I ordered the 3 in 1 pack, 'ultimate' I think it was.

I haven't got the game yet. I will be receiving it  in the mail soon I hope. It's coming from singapore so it may take some time to get to AU. I will type in the serial and i'll download impulse too so i can register there as well. thnx seth.

to submit a metaverse game, do i have to actually finish the game all the way to the end, like say, if i want to retire in the middle of the game and submit, will the score for that game count?

Retiring counts as a defeat, so you would get minimal score unless you see it through.

Yup, any defeat gives you a minimal score.

Depending how much you've done in the game you can still pull a few thousand out of a loss, but not much.

 

One note about Defeats and retirements as it pertains to the metaverse. There is a medal called a purple heart you get for posting five defeats. You can only get it by posting actual losses you played through to the end, retiring doesn't count toward getting the PH medal.
