Game Crashes on robot training mission

I've tried to do the very first mission after the first slew of training missions where you have to do something with robots. I'm not sure what the mission is because every time I say yes and it loads the game crashes. No error message, just an exception that comes up but I can't read it. Any suggestions?

I fixed a crash in the same place on my system by changing the video resolution for the planetary battles.  (It was 1280x960, and I made it 1280x1024 which fixed it for me.)  Perhaps changing the resolution and/or other graphical options will work for you.

Yea, I ended up figuring that out after some tinkering the other day. It seems odd that it automatically set it to a higher graphics setting than my card could support.
