Ironclad Online Issues [List Issue Resolved]

Some players have been reporting problems with games played via Ironclad Online. Specifically, some games will disconnect after a period of time and some users won't be able to see all the available games in the lobby (as an interim workaround, you can manually type in a game name to join it).

Ironclad and Stardock are investigating these issues and will be working on fixes for them. We apologize for the trouble and appreciate everyone's patience while we track things down.

Uh, I have a slightly bigger issue than that. It won't even let me log on...

I can get on fine and all...but once in game, when I click on a button, there is alike second delay before 'x' is built.  Also, I noticed that it starts out very fast.  Meaning that everything is sped up faster than the highest setting for some reason.  I'm not complaining about the speed thing but I wish there was a faster setting...

Basicly just recently i was playing a game with infernal creator, i gues but i didnt realize until later that i was disconnected about 40min to hour into our game, now warning sign at all when i went to our chat log it says that we were dissconnected from ICO so it was like i was playing an easy ai that just sits.

Craig, that's almost funny:  Compaired to most game companies "Sorry about the 6 month wait for the quick fix patch".  I'm sure most survived the blips just fine.

I've been trying to get on ICO for a few minutes now and refuses to let me connect. Both me and my friend Joe are experiencing this problem.

Is there some kind of maintenance going on?

annoying issue:

even if there are no enemies in the grav well, my kanrak assailant and jansurak sentinels keep activating their charged missile ability....and its only been happening with 1.12. :annoyed: this is disturbing because it means they cut all movement and maneuvering, which seriously hampers my fleet movement from planet to planet.  I toggled it off,but its a great ability when you are attacking, and manually micro-ing my 40-some sentinels and assailants in the way that the ai normally does for you is rather difficult.

Please help!

I can't still log on too. it kips coming up"network Error" "disconected from ironclad online". i have a portable internet pendrive. i don't know if i have to do anything diferent than in a fixed modem.

same to me... from beginning : connection to ironclad lost or something.. cant logon, cant make account, cant do anything.. call the guys from egosoft.. they know how to take care of their customers..

same error when trying to create my account : "Disconnected from Ironclad Online".

not cool, seeing as how a buddy and i just bought it today solely to play together online. WTF MANG!

Read the FAQ - you need to open some ports in your firewall to connect to ICO.

If you are having issue connecting, try turning off your firewall for a second and see what happens. If you get the issue, it is something else, if you don't get it, then the issue is your end.

I suggest opening your config.setting file (for me (Vista) it is found at C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting)

Open the ports it mentions and if you want to host, ensure you are port forwarding 6112 to your game PC from your router.

GameHostPort 6112

GameBroadcastPort 6000  (this could be some other port such as 6001)

IcoServerPort 7000

I hope I got that right and that it works. The reason why this is different and people think it doesn't work (and it does really - I only have issues when my PC 192.168.1.X address changes, or a alter modem/router settings) is that this game uses P2P rather then traditional client/server (with the exception of the ICO lobby part - since that is like IRC).
