given ships

i was given a ship by an other nation and ican't get it to move. it keeps telling me it is too far from home and it needs to go into sleep mode. does anyone know what i need to do. i would like to thank the people who answered me yesterday.thank you for your help.i now know how to populate a plant.

The ship is out of range. Just auto-send(right mouse click) it to an area inside your range( blue frame on the star map).
