Where's my Subspace Annilator dude?

I guess I never noticed before, but as i finished off the laser weapons branch I noticed that the subspace annilator is missing from the available ships parts. I have the subspace blaster and the black hole gun but not the one between them even though i researched for it. 

Is this some well know bug that no one cares about? I mean its just one more week of reserach for the black hole gun, so I could see why no one cares that the one before it is missing but still....its missing.
