Possible to beat the game on 200% difficulty without nanotoids?

I'm tired of "cheating" by waiting for a black hole to spawn nanotoids.  Basically, one black hole can give you different artifacts if you let time go by.  But on the hardest difficulty there seems to be no other way to beat the game,  The cost of repairing of good engine alone while turboing everywhere will make you go broke, whereas if you dont turbo around you'll fall behind the dominators namely Keller who must be beaten early in the game.

Maybe it's possible now that you can get up to 70% off repairs at military bases but I haven't been able to patch up SR2 to find out.........
